Eyes falling shut for a moment as they nudged their forehead against his, he sighed softly before tugging them closer. As he relaxed against the sofa, he hummed softly, fingers moving up to brush through their thick locks. "Mm. Just a few days in Tokyo. Little bit of business, little bit of pleasure..." At the question they asked, he only smiled softly. "The children can stay at either Vic's or my sister's. What do you say?"
Watching their every move his arm follows, mimicking their motion before as it coiled around their shoulders to keep them close. Since the distraction of a book was out of the question, they would become his next distraction. & so they did, his head leaning in a little closer as their fingers fell through his hair, his lips brushing over the top curve of their ear while they spoke. Japan wasn’t too far, it was a vacation that always brought something good out of the two of them. The only downside of being in Japan was that Sirius was one of the most wanted vigilante’s out there, he didn’t understand why they felt so comfortable living without a mask through the streets. As his fingers danced over their shoulder and his lips swept over the expanse of their ear he let out an audible hum, considering the potential trip, weighing the pros and cons.
“I don’t want the kids to stay at your sisters. Victoria will do, she cares of them well.” It wasn’t that he hated Sirius’ sister–who was he kidding? He loathed that woman and wished her a horrible death whenever Sirius breathed out her name. But of course, he couldn’t say much about it. She was his flesh & blood, and he was merely an accessory in Sirius’ lonesome life. “Tempting…” For some god awful reason there was a heavy weight growing in the pit of his stomach, but he couldn’t quite understand as to why he was feeling so strongly about passing the opportunity of going somewhere they called home. Maybe it was some sort of intuition that he couldn’t quite explain, but as he pulled back and saw the spark in their expression he couldn’t bring himself to say no. “Alright, yeah. Did you already book the flights? & just for the weekend, right?” -- He didn’t like being in a place too foreign for too long anyhow.
Still he felt strange. The acceptance to their invitation didn’t feel right. Something was going to happen while they were there, or maybe he was paranoid. Maybe the escalated drinking late at night was starting to skew his train of thought, leaving him to believe that there was someone always out there to get them -- to get him & Sirius. As he swallowed back he leaned out even more so, getting a better look at them as his hand slid down to the middle of their back. Thumb circulating into a light massage he pat his thigh with his other hand before hooking his hand around their knee, tugging them toward him to silently ask for their cooperation to sit on his lap.
