Julius’ voice did not give away any sentiments of his as he observed the knight’s reaction attentively -- though it proved to be fruitless. There was no sign that the other might be lying or hiding anything from him. Remaining silent for a few ticking seconds more before leaning back in the chair he had taken a seat in, averting his gaze with apparent indifference.

【 Julius stared at the knight with confusion and agony alike having settled into his features -- stared at him in a child-like naivety, almost as though he wasn’t aware of what he had done to the other. What he had seen ( and felt ) had been an entirely different scenery, one in which Suzaku had been aiming at him with a gun and shot. Had hit him to the ground. Had dragged him someplace else. Had deliberately put him in danger. 

There were many new pictures ( accompanied with emotions, voices and words ) within his head that he couldn’t quite place in his own timeline and it was simply overwhelming. It was too much.

“What did you do...? What... Why...?” 】

Bloodslave

     Nearly midnight, a chilled breeze blew through the roofless indoor garden. Bathed in the moonlight, the soft velvet roses were beginning to wilt as the seasons changed. Each individual flower was becoming weaker by the day--noted by the owner of the garden.

     ‘There’s nothing I can do about it...When winter comes, they’ll be dead.’ The young man gently ran his fingers over the petals and sighed before turning to head back inside. However, he halted when he heard footsteps on the crisp grass, and--struggling?

     “Who’s there?” An automatic question.

     “I’ve brought your meal, defect.” There was a sound as if something--or someone--was thrown to the ground in front of him. “But don’t kill this one, alright? We’re tired of hunting for a failure that can’t do anything. It’ll be your blood slave.”

     ‘Blood slave...?’ He had already disregarded the slurs spat at him, the new term having caught his attention.

【”I-I didn’t... I didn’t mean for it to happen...!” Euphemia... Beautiful, innocent and foolish Euphy. How could Lelouch have ever wanted her to die -- by his hands, no less? Never had he wanted for her to turn into a symbol of hypocrisy, triggered by his Geass that he no longer had any proper control over. But what other choice did he have back then? It had been too late to save her anymore, for Lelouch was incapable of nullifying the order issued by his careless words. 

Just as much as he was incapable of nullifying the Geass that had been cast upon himself by his father. The former prince was merely struggling to stay in control, his entire body shaking in exertion as he stumbled towards the Knight of Seven and grasped the fabric of the other’s uniform to keep himself upright.

“Help me, please...! Suzaku, I’m begging you...!” 】
