Luke loved going to the park--not just for the fresh air, but also for the animals.
Nearly everyone thought that his ability to talk to animals was strange and unnatural. He was used to that by now. But animals really didn’t think that way. They always considered him just another creatue to be able to talk to.
He was familiar with most of the animals in the park, but one in particular stood out. A black cat with a red scarf--Luke had never seen him before. Raising an eyebrow, Luke carefully approached the cat.
“Hello there,” he said, keeping his voice level. “I haven’t seen you around here before. Are you new?”
