Giving the #teabagnailfix a real challenge! So I really busted my nail! Bent it backwards so you know it hurt too 😬. Anyway - I just tried the teabag fix on a one-sided break just a couple of days ago when I discovered it on a @sistaco forum. (I was nursing this nail along with nail strengthener - as you do). It seems that it's been successful, so when I did the "bend back, snap" with this nail, I knew exactly what to do (and I'd handily kept the remaining skin of my sacrificed teabag in my @sistaco kit for just such an emergency!!) And of course, @sistaco is such a brilliant system that to get my nail back on par with its mates would only take about 5 minutes - or maybe 7. So, being the sharing and caring kinda girl I am - I documented the process for those of you who may not have heard of it (like me - last week) Step one: snip enough teabag paper to cover the crack and then some - in my case I covered my nail from side to side and a little bit more. Step two: apply a bit of glue to the cracks - if you've split as well as torn your nail you can try to get glue on both sides of the tear - mine was just a clean break. Step three: squish the paper onto the glued nail (I used a toothpick to make sure there were no air bubbles) and allow the glue to dry. Step four: manicure as normal - for @sistaco users, it's as simple as Base coat, Cure 60 seconds, powder, top coat, cure 120 seconds. (I know, right? No more waiting around for ages until you think your nail polish has set, only to leave a great big fingerprint in it because you were wrong 🙄) Incidentally - I used two different colours in this going for an #ombrenails effect, but I'm not very good at it yet. I'll give this a cleanup around the edges later on so it'll look much tidier that the last photo 😳 If you haven't discovered @sistaco yet, you really don't know what you're missing!!
