EASY 2X01 REVIEW AND RANT

I would just like to start off by saying I love Aubrey and every project she does but this one was SO GOOD! I’m just so proud of her! She’s gone from playing characters like Lenny to Sister Fernanda to Ingrid to Lindsay in this year alone! Each of those characters are so vastly different from one another and I’ve just loved seeing her try out other stuff and prove that she’s more than just the “deadpan” actress that’s she been labeled for so long. This character felt so natural and real and I think that’s greatly in part to Aubrey and her performance, but also the director and writer, Joe Swanberg. I loved seeing Aubrey as this sort of domestic character who supports small, local businesses, gardens, and attends block parties. It was extremely refreshing and simple. I hope she continues to dabble in the extremes of characters who are a bit unhinged and characters who are down to earth. I was actually quite sad that it was only 20 minutes long and genuinely wanted to watch an entire series of it! I wish they had given a bit more dialogue or explanation after she caught the package thief but overall, I was very impressed and satisfied!
