tonight’s bake! lemon poppy buns, from the sister pie cookbook!
holy cats! what a fun bake. absolutely one of the more involved things i’ve attempted but it’s so satisfying. as the pictures show, i made some dough, let it rise for two hours, rolled it into a log with some cream cheese filling, cut into six slices, let it rise again for 45 minutes, baked them for 35 minutes, made a glaze as they cooled, then poured over the top.
i’m tickled pink with how they turned out, even if i can’t photograph baked goods to save my life, and i’m so excited to try one tomorrow.
whew.
