Any chance we could get a little sneak peek at how Kate and Anthony are doing?
okay so it’s taken me a few days to answer this one out, but I think I finally figured it out.
So timeline wise, Kate and Anthony are expecting Neddy. while I’ve already shared how Anthony finds out, but maybe it’s time to see how Kate did.
Kate Sharma likes to think that she knows her body. She knows when she’s tired, or energized. when she’s fighting a cold or healthy as a horse. and right now, Kate Sharma is pretty sure that she’s pregnant.
It was an easy decision for them, to start trying. She had booked a doctor’s appointment for the week they got back from their honeymoon and ever since they’ve been more than enthusiastic to try. Anthony especially.
And this morning, when she got out of the shower, she catched herself in the mirror and just knew something was different.
“Hey,” she knocks on Anthony’s office, “I’m going to head out to meet a potential new client, I’ll see you at home.”
Anthony nods, and stands up, until he stands in front of her, taking her hands in his, “okay, I’ll have dinner ready.”
Kate shakes her head, “I’ll order, I’ve been craving something specific.”
Anthony tilts his head, looking at Kate, as though assessing something, “you sure you’re alright?”
Kate nods, “yeah, one meeting and I’m coming home.”
Anthony nods, and leans to press a kiss on her forehead, “I love you.”
“Love you too,” Kate says, squeezing his hands, before unlacing them.
“well Kate,” Dr. Eli says, looking at her computer, "congratulations are in order.”
“really?” Kate asks, a gentle shock in her voice.
“really. do you want to see?”
“I think I should wait for Anthony.”
Dr. Eli smiles softly, “tell reception to add you to tomorrow’s appointment list.”
“I will. okay, okay. what do I do now?”
Dr. Eli smiles, “I think you go home to tell your husband.”
Kate nods and gets up, “Thank you Doctor, I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“How did it go?” Anthony asks as Kate flops beside him on the couch.
“Good I think, I was actually thinking you’d want to do this project with me”.
“Really?” Anthony asks, surprised.
“Yeah, it’s a good story, and there is a clear deadline when it needs to come out, and I think it would be better if we did this together.”
“I would be honored to share a document with you again. What’s the story and deadline?”.
Kate looks at him, smiles softly, lacing her hand with his, and Anthony instantly begins rubbing the rings on her finger, the symbols of their life together, of the promises they’ve made.
“It’s about two people, who love each other very much, so much that they have more love between them for just the two of them, that they’ve created something, someone entirely new out of all that love.”
She has tears in her eyes, Anthony’s watering too, “Kathani”.
“The deadline is 8 months from today. What do you think?”.
He kisses her, hard, both crying when they come up for air, “I think it’s my favorite story already”.
She takes his free hand, the one that isn’t laced with hers, on her still flat stomach, “congratulations papa”.
“I love you, fully, completely.”
“Fully, completely”.

“Hey, you ready to go?” Anthony asks, already with his satchel on his shoulder.
Kate looks at her watch, “Ant we have an hour.”
“I don’t want to be late.”
Kate sighs, knowing this isn’t a battle she’s going to win, and closes her computer and packs up her bag.
Anthony immediately takes a hold of it, smirking at Kate, “not worth it darling.”
“oh god you’re going to be insufferable."
“yes, but that shouldn’t come as a shock.”
Kate presses a kiss on his lips, “it’s one of the many reasons I married you.”

“alright you two, ready to see Baby Bridgerton?” Dr Eli asks.
“Baby Sharma Bridgerton,” Anthony corrects.
“Baby Sharma Bridgerton,” Dr Eli repeats, “lets meet them.”
Kate sits on the bed, opening the buttons of her shirt and her pants for the doctor to spread the gel on her stomach, before using the ultrasound probe.
“..and there they are,” Dr. Eli says, pointing at the screen.
“that’s our baby?” Anthony asks.
“that your baby,” Dr. Eli confirms.
“ours,” Kate whispers.
Anthony turns to Kate, leaning his forehead to hers, “I love you both, so so much.”
“we love you too,” Kate says, before raising her head to press a kiss on his lips.
