Trying using a spray bottle filled with the dye. It will help with the gentle graduation in Mercy's outfit. Or make sure the yellow fabric is wet before dip dying the red only do a little bit then hang it with the yellow hanging down so the red seeps down gradually. :)
The hanging definitely has helped, and wetting it first definitely helped! Thanks! :)

I've posted my hood up on my tumblr if you wanted to peak. I found that pattern you linked shortly after finding your Jade, haha. My pattern is very similar. The thing I found it lacked was volume in the back, it didn't really look like a hood. Thank you very much for your help. :)

Do you have a pattern for how you made your Jade Dog Tier hood. I just finished mine and yours looks infinitely better
Thank you, and I’m sure yours is beautiful. Sorry, I don’t have a pattern, although this one looks better than what I did. I couldn’t figure out what to do, so I made a three-piece hood without a point then hand-sewed on the tails. The only bit of advice I think I would add to that pattern is to sew horsehair braid into the front opening of the hood, to keep it open around your face.
Funnily enough, I have just pulled it out of the oven, so *offers pizza*
