:3 Okay, just a quick peek before I dip out for exams again
Kudo Shinichi is the villain, the monster and the wretched cold blooded evil man that killed and massacred many. The cold blooded duke that nearly became emperor and who had, countless times, tried to kill the hero of the story and the secret rightful heir of the empire. Kuroba Kaito, the secret crown Prince who grew up in the slums as a commoner. In the end, the hero triumphed over all obstacles with the villain who had in search of power, ultimately cursed himself as a demon king but died in the end, under the hands of the hero.
(Unfair! Unfair! Unfair! How could he have everything Shinichi striped for?! The villain thought in hysteria and cruel hatred for Kuroba. Shinichi had done everything, he put in hard work, effort and all his soul just to win this fight. He had a natural right for the throne and had been working for it for years already! Just because suddenly one wretch from the slums is claimed to be the missing royal, doesn't mean that everyone should just cast Shinichi away! Even Shinichi's fiance.... even her, Serin chose that man over Shinichi who had loved her for years.... Unfair! Now he is a monster! A monster at that! A demon king! Unfair! No one heard the villain's agonised furious scream as the body was burned on the stake and a sword sliced down, taking off the monster's head as it rolled on the burning ground in the middle of winter. The hero now the rightful emperor, staring with cold indigo eyes at the villain.)
Now years had passed, in another world, in a world that had given Shinichi an actual proper chance to be take care for and loved. Kudo Shinichi, 17 years old, very ordinary young man with a penchant for books and with loving parents. A highschooler attending Teitan High, a high class academy, in modern Japan. He's a jolly slightly insensitive dork young man, rambunctious and like all teenagers, sassy and lively. He's friends with Ran Mouri and Suzuki Sonoko. Two outsanding people who Shinichi secretly wonders why they're friends with a normal boy like him as Sonoko is a heiress for a conglomerate while Ran is an athlete in karate. Shinichi in this life, doesnt remember his old life, he is for all sake, an ordinary boy. (Nothing of the old Shinichi from the past life, the boy who was never loved and never knew love)
But what if one villain, even after death, who's soul should have went to the reincarnation cycle and paid for their sins, escaped their world and entered modern Japan? A brand new person and a brand new beginning? But what if that dragged the hero to hunt for said villain, crossing worlds and into the modern world? All the while the fabric of reality of the two worlds is slowly coming into ruin just because Shinichi exists in modern japan when his own existence is considered an aberration?
Shinichi doesn't know, as he stares up at a sky with two moons, nothing on him except his uniform from Teitan high and a knife he stole from his kidnapper, a classmate. A new classmate he wasn't even close with, who's name was Kuroba Kaito. Who Shinichi had fought and had run away from in the nebula of reincarnation. Then mistakenly fell into a world of fantasy. Shinichi feels a slightly hysterical laugh climbing out of his throat.
"Fuck...", the boy alone in a brand new fantasy world softly said.
And one hero, in the nebula of reincarnation made of butterflies and souls, cursing and all. Now has to hunt down the Shinichi Kudo in the old world, the world where Duke Kudo Shinichi died. Kuroba Kaito snarled, no longer in his guise of a 17 years old highschooled, instead now a 27 year old young man, fitting his status of an emperor and a hero.
"I'm hunting you down till the literal end of the world, Kudo!"
Excerpt from Shinichi escaping Kaito in the nebula:
But Shinichi was already moving. He sliced desperately at the ropes around his ankles. The sharp snap a satisfying crack in this fever dream like place. He didn't care about the ones in his wrist. No time for it when you have a maniac just a meter away from you, fury coiled in the man's body with a bleeding hand Shinichi never thought he'd have the courage to slash at another person.
The second he was free, he ran.
He ran like his life depended on it—because it did. (It fucking did, he wanted to sob.)
“Get back here!” Kuroba roared, voice echoing across the cosmic realm. The sound of pursuit, if that was even it in a place clearly floating in space even though Shinichi isn't suffocating in the lack of space, thundered behind him, heavy footsteps shaking the path of light with an uncharacteristic resounding ring.
Shinichi didn’t look back. (He couldn't afford to)
He sprinted through swirling clouds of butterflies, heart pounding in his ears, legs burning. The colorful nebula blurred around him as light passed like a stream of meteor showers. He could hear Kuroba getting closer, cursing violently.
Then the ground beneath his feet vanished.
(Was there even a ground when the path wasn't even a path? It was just solid light? Is that even a thing? Shinichi blames his thoughts on his inherent denial of all things fantasy cause he just wants to scream and honestly, WhatThe-)
One moment he was running on a flow of glowing butterflies. The next, the nebula opened like a hungry mouth beneath him. Like a blackhole but instead it was light instead of the absence of one. That was what Shinichi thought. His stomach dropped, like his body was instinctively reacting to a sense of death, as he plummeted into an endless void of shifting colors and stars.
He twisted mid-space, the light so bright as he looked up.
Kuroba stood at the crumbling edge of the path, one hand outstretched desperately, face twisted between incandescent rage and raw panic. “Shinichi!”
Shinichi flashed the biggest, most shit-eating grin he could manage.
He raised his middle finger high.
“See you never, you kidnapping bastard!” he yelled triumphantly as the void of light swallowed him whole.
Kuroba’s furious roar followed him down, but it grew distant, distorted, and finally disappeared.
The kaleidoscopic world of butterflies faded.
Shinichi felt weightless. Then came the rush of cold air, the sensation of falling through something far heavier than space, and finally—nothing.
Darkness claimed him once again.
Somewhere far away, in a world that was either modern Japan or the one Kuroba sought to return him to, a new ripple spread across the fabric of existence.
Kudo Shinichi had escaped again.
And this time, no one knew where he had landed.
