Trusting one of those towering humans to hold you is incredibly intimate. They'll wrap their fingers around you, caress your head with their thumb, and you have to trust them to not squeeze, to be uncharacteristically gentle. You'll feel their pulse through the thumb nearly as big as your head, and your initial, primal instincts will be screaming at you, saying "DANGER DANGER YOU'RE IN DANGER". It can be difficult to get comfortable, but once you get through the nerves, it is so superbly intimate, and I'm not sure the giants know how difficult it is for us to let ourselves be vulnerable like that.
