I'm writing a comic/story and I need to consult a moderate feminist/sjw the society my story takes place is a heavy patriarchy where women have little say in anything and I have a female character that my mc is shadowing women as they do their jobs as a punishment and she's I guess I would say a feminist and I'd like to gauge the things she would say to him.

Need feminist perspective

So I'm writing a story where there is a character that I guess would be a feminist which my main character interacts with. Now he's the son of a high level politician in a heavy patriarchal society.

Long story short with hi is his sister's husband was sick and he was still ordered to go to battle or face execution (which would have left her widowed with a newborn with very little income cause she works in the fields) well she decided to take her husband's place and she ended up dieing in battle. The main character knew she was there and didn't report her (cause she would have been jailed or executed) so his punishment is to live as a woman so he can learn how important women are in their society (twisted ideology I know) so he has to shadow different women for a week and the last person is this particular feminist-esq character.

Her background is that she's a single mother by choice because she sees that the main characters father is raising children on his own and she feels like she can as well especially since she makes a livable wage as a midwife/birthing nurse. She also had to wait til her father died because he would have disowned her children and made them go to the orphanage.

The scene is after they aid a young unwed girl give birth at her home the girls father rips the baby from her arms and demands them to take the child to the orphanage.

My issue their interactions on the way to the orphanage, every time I imagine it the woman seems too cheerful in this society. So I'm asking if you were this woman what would you say the the 14 year old son of the only politicians that may listen to woman's rights, and you also know there's a good chance this would fall on deaf ears?
