without fail, my favourite reddie trope is where post-derry (27 yrs later), they're together but they never have an explicit conversation so richie thinks they're just fwb/hooking up and is madly in love w/ eddie and putting himself through hell but. like. even though the story is through richie's pov, we (the readers) can easily tell that this is a serious relationship to eddie and richie is just a self-flagellating moron. 👌🏻 good shit
(in miniseries fics, these roles are usually reversed and i also love that!!! eddie is madly in love with richie but thinks that richie just wants to hook up. richie is trying to get eddie to move in with him but eddie thinks that would be Too Hard because he will give richie all of himself but OBVIOUSLY richie is just in this for the sex. like. sweetie. and even though the story is from eddie's pov, we can tell that richie is like 😍👨❤️💋👨👨🏻🤝👨🏼🎊🏠 the entire time.)
