She raised her weapon once he came near her, placing the fading red dot of her laser on the zerg’s head.

It was more of a habit, than an actual attempt to protect herself. Sarah knew the moment she would pull the trigger, it would click empty. Yet, she stood her ground, trying not to show how exhausted and hurt she was.

“Don’t even dare to come near me. I would rather die than be a part of your ‘Swarm’.”

Weakness was apparent in the Terran’s mind, if not her body. The chittering and clacking of Zerg surrounding her grew overbearing, louder than even her own thoughts. Zerglings, Hydralisks and Mutalisks all descended upon their newest addition to the family.

Abathur continued to rise, allowing more of his immense size to be revealed, despite having a preference to leave it underground. Now, even hunched over, he towered above her, face looking down upon her own. His limbs twitched, and spread, quickly poising to strike. Even amongst the roar of the swarm in her ears, his telepathic messages cut clearly through the fog.

“Death, not an option. Rebirth necessary. Will indoctrinate, assimilate. Again; resistance. is. futile.”

Already, he planned his surgical strike to incapacitate her. If she would not come willingly, then he would force her to cooperate, at her body’s expense.
