5 years since StarKid Homecoming!
5 years ago yesterday (I went to the Thursday show) I was in L.A. having the most magical evening! The Ace Hotel was lovely, the cast was electric, the music made me cry and laugh and sing along...here's to 15 years of StarKid!
Also, it's either in this video or the BTS for SK10 backers that you can see me in the background. Liam White was interviewing people in line, and I was behind some of the people he interviewed. My only claim to fame!
“Mo-gan dayee, Mo-gan!!”

“Wow he is really bringing the brood today huh? Totally thought he’d want to get out here with Gia once he was back on his feet.”
“Well my wife and he had a good spat last night.”

“Yeah, My brothers have always known how best to get under my skin.”
“Try having two older know-it-all sisters. Oh hey... pops and dad must be back. Lot of people to feed around here lately.”
“Still... summoning even small ones can run out of control very easily. Black holes are living things of their own. When tiny they dissipate out eating themselves alive but just large enough.. well it’s something Hannel herself didn’t know and had to learn in the worst of ways. I took the blame.. she was just trying to help me and it got away from her. No one ever questioned how a Watcher could have done that. No one cared and that was just fine by me.”
“So...Kas was destroyed by an errant black hole?”
“I would strongly advise never using this ability Olin. Not even in the worst of times.”
“Yes... and another deep regret from the depths of my past.”
“Then why not dispel it? You clearly could.”
“Curses like that are purged individually once they are in place. In order for all the Hasari to be cleansed I would need all living descendants of the original line. Unfortunately I can no longer leave this place and only individuals with a particular connection to it can come here. Both you and Estra have ancestors that used to walk these woods.”
“Are you sure? Most of my family has been in the Union since The Degeneration.”
“Not your mother’s side. Your mother had to be one of Hennie’s. Knew as soon as I saw your conjurations. Very rare ability, very destructive if handled carelessly.”
“Well like you said, at least mine are pretty weak right?”
“Why didn’t you tell her Cole?”
“Tell her what?”
“That you were talking about the binding. She may have taken a moment to reconsider going through this. Her feelings were mixed about it but I think..”
“A curse is a curse Olin. It is still an aberration that disturbs the internal void. Such things prevent us from living freely and completely.”
“And The Wasting? Doesn’t that prevent one from living freely?”
