“Extremely.. it turns out I’m a pretty fucking insecure creature that couldn’t stand the idea of sharing you once I started sleeping with you. Estra, I knew what the binding was.” 

“I kind of had a feeling you did. I didn’t want to think that way but... it was hard to push it out of my mind sometimes and I was starting to get angry about it. I am okay with it being gone, it’s good to know how I really feel. What I want.” 

“Well? What do you want?” 

“You.. I think.. but I also think we may have to start over to some extent. Actually get to know each other? See if I can fully trust you?” 

“Yeah, I understand.”

“You.. you can end me.. but it will only bring more trouble for you.. you don’t know how these people are. He won’t be able to control them. My son is not strong enough..He will not be able to protect you!”  

“I don’t need anyone to protect me Admiral and I don’t think your son really wants to control anyone... at least not like you do anyway.”

“No.. see that’s where you’re wrong. I think I know those things very well. At least I understand that shit is earned.”

“So you’re another one of my uncles? Wow a lot of those seem to be popping out of nowhere lately. Did you know that my Uncle Mal is Johnny Dread? That’s pretty cool right?”

"It is quite an entertaining program, my wife and I watch it regularly. Perhaps someday I will get to work with The Spider himself once he returns to the service. For now I hope he will have the best of luck in cultivating his own family. I have two children myself very close to your age, hopefully you will meet them very soon.” 

“Please Matti, just let us through. They had her locked in a room with practically nothing. Is that what you’d want for your own children?”

“So what are the ground-rules? Just a free for all brawl or...” 

“No voidcells, fuck knows you have more agility when go into the dance and I of course of more brute strength, so I won’t hit quite as hard. Also I think we should put a wager on this. If I win, you have to bring your pretty little wife and child home and get back to shit as the universe intended. I suppose if you win, which I fucking doubt, I’ll let you have a few more years of freedom.” 

“Well then you better not smash in my face. It’s worth 40k an episode.”

“Look, if you just come peacefully maybe a deal can be made. The Admiral seems pretty worn by recent events and I’m sure just wants people to fall in line.”

“And how much longer do you think that old asshole is going to be in charge anyway? Who do you think will be once he’s gone?” 

“My brother and do you really want to start a new regime not on his side? This may be news to you but Malachi absolutely hates our father and will probably purge anyone too complicit in his shit. Please... brother, just stand down.” 

“Hmmm...”

“What you think I’m just going to let you kick me in the fucking face? Did you forget I’m a full fucking agent now? I’m not some fourteen year old. I had top fucking marks at the academy and not because of your bullshit influence, most of my instructors fucking hate you as much as I do and they really liked to punish me for that connection.”   

“See... I knew if you stopped doing that creepy shit we’d be able to talk. You can’t tell me you aren’t enjoying every fucking minute of this.”
