I went looking for some reviews or whatever for Skannerz and caught a crush immediately

There's this toy from the early 00s I keep remembering about called Skannerz, and every time I wish I had been able to get it and that it had taken off with actual popularity.

It was this hand-held thing that you could scan barcodes with to find monsters. I guess it was like a Digimon kind of thing? But I remember thinking it looked cool...

Anyone else have a lot of fun playing with old obscure tech stuff like this? This is a Skannerz (how metal). You scan barcodes and you can collect monsters and items, as well as fight bosses. Despite being from the late 90’s/early 2000’s, it still works and I’ve found lots of monsters in random household products 😂

I wish they’d make a phone game version of this cause it’s honestly pretty entertaining. All the monsters are very metal and 90’s (kinda digimon like). Tell me there are other people out there that like to play with these old weird things.
