All the Vivienne questions?
1.) Did your Inquisitor share Vivienne’s views on the circle of magi or disagree and why?
Maeve agrees that an untrained mage is dangerous. Education and learning control of magic is important. She sympathizes with the rebel mages detest for cages, however. Being under the thumb of a overbearing mother wasn’t without marks.
2.) Did your inquisitor view The Game as worthwhile or did they detest court intrigue? How did that affect their relationship with Vivienne?
While Maeve detests politics after growing up in Ostwick’s politics, she hates the thought of being used far more. With that incentive in mind, she turns out to be a natural player of the Game and excels it at a frightening rate. Manipulating situations into her advantage has become a delicious secret, especially when she turns the tables on people who undermined her capabilities. Maeve’s shrewd perception and gut sense helped her flourish at Halamshiral. She was quick to note Florianne’s deceptions and called the Grand Duchess out before the public and forced the three leaders into working together with her influence.
3.) Did the feelings of your Inquisitor towards Vivienne change at all after completing her personal mission about Duke Bastian, if yes, in what way?
Vivienne felt more...human to Maeve afterwards. She had admired Vivienne before meeting Duke Bastian but this just showed a different, rarer, side to the First Enchanter. Maeve knows what it’s like to lose someone precious.
4.) Was Vivienne ever considered a candidate for Divine by your Inquisitor? Why was, or why wasn’t, she made Divine by your Inquisitor?
Maeve and Vivienne both agreed that Cassandra would be best suited for becoming the next Divine. Maeve agreed with all of the seeker’s ideas of reform to make a better Chantry, despite her own personal feelings about the Maker.
5.) How did your Inquisitor feel about Vivienne? Friends? Allies? Rivals?
Vivienne is a determined, strong, and capable woman. Quality traits that Maeve respects and shares. They may not agree on everything where the Circle is concerned--at times, Maeve feels inadequate to even make suggestions as she’s not a mage herself. Still, they reached a level in their relationship where Vivienne gave Maeve a ring, enchanted by the Fomari, to express her high level of trust and appreciation.
