Before the Ollie, devices like Air Shooms were created to keep a skater’s feet connected to the board during flight. And the price of admission was amazing: Only $5 plus $1 for postage and handling from Pride Plastics in Troy, Michigan. The Ollie soon put these budding enterprises out of business, as well as shortening the careers of one or more established pro skaters.
