“Shit, bunny” Remus crouches down, hooking his hands under your armpits to lift you to your feet. “Lemme see” he inspects your knees, finding the skin torn up shallowly and a bit bloody. “Okay, you’re alright.”
He glances up to your face to find your eyes round and filled with tears, and your lower lip trembling. “Hey, baby, you’re okay. You’re just fine, yeah? We’ll get you patched up no problem.” He cups your face, thumbing away two fat tears just as they escape your waterline
“Hurts, Rem, a-and everyone saw me fall- now everyone can see me cry” your eyes dart around the park
“Shhh, look at me. You’re fine, ‘s alright. Happens all the time. ‘N you’re being really brave”
