Part 9 - The Eggs

SkekSa is called by SkekShi, who is laying her eggs. But SkekIv has some different plans for one of the hatchlings, so SkekSa finds herself in an unexpected quest.

A little note here... these parts of the comic were ready, before I even started to make SkekSa’s full story. ^^; I was ready with these and then realized I want to show the full tale. The drawing style evolved since a bit, and some characters were drawed slightly different ^^; Sorry for that. I tried to tie back everything into these pages as well as I could, but for example, the marbolg hatchling and some of SkekSa’s crewmates were not existing here yet.

Also we are starting the travel of the triplets here. :D The way they got to be with their father on Haven. This is the last time SkekShi held them in her arms. Sadly she will not be present as they grow up.

And I am sure all of you will be satisifed with the end of SkekIv.

Skektif: Oldest of them all, Parents are Skekmal and Skeksa, lives with them at the coast

Skektron and Skekan: Twins of Skekna and Skektek, live in the castle, Skketron is interested in machines and Skekan is more of a protector. Both are very friendly

Skekenz: son of Skeklach and Skekok, smallest of the bunch, steals paper, love sto draw, ferret like movement

Skekphan: Child of Skekshod and Skekzok, tallest of them all, doesn’t like to be touched, steals everything they think it is worth keeping, is a brat

Skekiv (former Skeklo): is the fluffiest, feathers and fur are very thick and soft, loves to cook with ayuk and watch ekt doing her dresses

Part 6 - The Trial

So... we came to the Trial at last, when SkekSa has a chance to escape and start a new life. But it will come at a price...

Fei's sacrifice might seem avoidable. She could have listened to SkekSa. But I have to tell here, that Fei has a super low self-esteem. Sacrificing herself seemed like the only plan in her head, which would give SkekSa the freedom she deserves. Also she loved SkekSa during this year, so giving up her own life for her was something she did gladly. Also she has a little win for herself here, becaoming braver. When she met SkekSa, she was resurected after a Trial like this. She was afraid getting back here. But during the year, SkekSa taught her to be a bit more courageous. So facing the monster she feared with a heartfelt greeting is a big thing for her.

The Dark Crystal has a big number of grotesque creatures, and I wanted to do something worthy. That's how the marbolg was born. I later realized it is a horror-version of the cute turnable octopus-plushie which is popular nowadays XD It is also a creature the skeksis who has an urru feel a bit kinship with, since the marbolg is born with it's mate. The two head has different minds and they co-exist with the same body. Also one of them is herbivore, while the other is carnivore, making them not dependante on foodsource. But the Churches like them being carnivore, so they limit their food during the Trial-periods of the year, so the dropped skeksis are consumed for sure.

And with the Scavengers, there is SkekRo's little introduction-verse, much like Team Rocket XD He is trying really hard to make an impression XD

Part 5 - The Last

SkekSa and the Huntmaster get to know each other and SkekShi is close to have her three babies. But SkekIv still has power and she contacts a "higher power" for guidance.

This was supposed to be the last pages of the previous chapter "The Mates", but Tumblr is only allowing 10 pages. >.<

In this, i show how much respect the Hunters have for each other. Also un-armored SkekXan is now officially my most sexy oc. x3

And my first reveal of Empress SkekKrisha, grandmother of the triplets. The armor she wears is all golden and really the only think keeping her together and alive. That snake-like creature in her neck is her pet, Balark (named after a dragon in a childhood cartoon, who fulfilled a similar role :D). Balark is officially the only creature Krisha has any sliver of love for. He is free to go wherever he wants, but mostly stays on Krisha's shoulder.

Part 4 - "The Mates"

During her past months, SkekSa got in good terms with most of the females in the Church, and also secured a contact, who can help her, once she escapes. The leader of the pirates, who come and go as they please, SkekRo, the Bandit, who developed a soft spot in his heart for Sa.

But SkekSa also refused all the mates SkekIv appointed for her, so she is in danger from the High Priestess' wrath. In desperation, and to make SkekSa unable to fight her way out, SkekIv approaches the Hunters of the ship, the Pack. Most importantly, the pack-leader, SkekXan, who is even a bit more grumpier than SkekMal.

Anyway. SkekRo is a chad and has a bit bigger mouth, than muscle. But he will be a loyal friend and helper through this story.

As for SkekXan... he has morals and he follows the rules. He only goes into this situation to protect the members of his Pack from the Shadow Hunter... who are inspired by Warhammer a bit ^^; They are basically inquisitors tasked to keep the hunter-type skeksis at bay. They are mostly seeking BIG challenge, that's why they chose to hunt their own kind. Skeksis are the most dangerous predator in the universe... are they not?

Part 2 - “The Priestess”

This... is a lot here, so I am trying to explain. The Church of Flesh aboard every ship is the home of every female aboard that ship and it is always governed by a High Priestess, who is SkekIv here. Also there is a “beauty-standard” of the Empire, which the Church enforces on every female in their possession. The standard is: perfect, tall body. To reach this standard, every kind of surgery is allowed.

Usually if a female follows the rules and finds a mate every cycle, they have little to worry. We all know, that SkekSa is not that kind of a lady. So she will have a different path, if she can get out from SkekIv’s influence.

As for the situation, SkekSo and the others already fled this ship some months ago and they left quite a mark. Also... the triplets are present in this comic. Let’s say this is their first appearance in the timeline ;)

And there comes the tension between controlling priestess and angry mom SkekShi, who by the end of this comic, has a dangerous realization and must construct a plan for her babies...
