I had read it a while back and had been wondering if it was unrequited wincest? like Dean hadn't really wanted to kiss Sam like that but that he thought it would make Sam feel better

honestly, it was open to your own interpretation of it. like when i thought about it, i thought of it like sam was scared and wasn’t sure what to do but i wanted the reader to take it whatever way they read it as.

i could totally see it as unrequited wincest though. like dean would do anything for his brother and he would give sam anything to make him feel better. so yeah, that could have been a reason.
