How Skeletons celebrate Christmas, Part 1

The skeletons and I took a couple of pictures while we were celebrating Christmas.

I got some presents for them to open.

The two on the side were for all of them to enjoy together, but these three were for them individually.

Saturday was too impatient to wait and began opening their present immediately.

It was a set of flowers for their room!

They told me they like it.

Now that they had their own present, Saturday was curious about the others.

They all decided September should open his present next.

I also got him something for his room, in his case a decorative sea shell.

He was very happy with it.

Now it was Summer’s turn.

She started out opening the present carefully, but then she became impatient too.

When she saw her own pink sea shells, she howled with joy.

Now they all wanted to know what was in the other packages...

How Skeletons celebrate Christmas, Part 2

After opening their individual presents, it was time for the skeletons to open the ones I had gotten for all of them together.

They found it easier to be patient after opening their own presents, so they started with the smaller one.

September got to open it, since he was sitting in the middle. It was a set of playing cards for their own size!

They thought about playing a round, but September insisted on opening all the presents first.

So after that, it was finally time for the big present.

This one they all opened together.

This time, it was a piece of decoration for their entryway!

They all gave me a hug as a thank you after unwrapping all their presents...

...but since it had been a long evening, it ended with them falling asleep on my hand.

I put them to bed and cleaned up the tiny mess for them. Normally I would have them do it themselves, but... it was Christmas, after all.

Hey, September?

Are you a boy or a girl?

You don’t know?

Neither? I guess that makes sense. You’re a skeleton, after all. But what should I call you?

I have some skeletons. They're a little worse for wear because I've had them a while. One is missing an arm but they're very happy being in my room and not packed away in Halloween storage

Aw. I imagine it must be a lot better for them to be out and about instead of tucked away in storage. How nice of you to let them.

Oh my gosh I just got my tiny Skele and he is just so much smaller than I thought. I really appreciate your clothes making skills more now because making clothing that tiny is pretty hard.

I had a similar reaction when I first held these skeletons in my hand. They really are very very small. I was grateful to have found doll clothes that small - my own sewing skills on that scale are unfortunately still less than adequate.

Heyo September's mom(mun? Dad? Parental unit?)! I just thought I'd share a tip I learned frome sewing clothing for my own tiny skellies! Using fabric glue(or heck regular glue) to do the hems/ edges is much easier and helps prevent fraying! If you want I can share some patterns that work well for tiny clothes!just hit me up!
