This was inspired by the art we say at Open Studios this weekend in SF. There are so many references in this, but one of them would be the artist Matthew Priest and his use of lettering. Yes, I've used lettering before but seeing his work made me want to do it again. Cheers ~ Thomas

I seem to be stuck in a pink background phase. I really do love how the gold (more yellow in photos) looks with the orange and pink. It was fun in my large sketch book.

I follow each bit like Pac-Man chomping away at each dot. I secretly want your ghost to chase me but it heads off the screen every time!

Perhaps that’s all you have to give?

You leave me breadcrumbs Then you wonder why I’m tempted by candy houses. This is a hunger of the soul— I am lost now and competing with the birds for each bit…

Random thought of the day: I think I recently hit the stage of my life where I officially lost my filter. Instead of saying to myself “Maybe I shouldn’t say that”, I more often say “Oh hell, let’s just say it and see what happens” 😈… And if my truth makes someone contract with discomfort, then I know they are not for me… When it causes them to expand, share a laugh, and maybe even step further into their own authenticity, then I know that I have found another member of my tribe…and that makes it all well worth the risk of cracking myself open 😉 #sketchbookplay #watercolor #randomthoughts #authenticity #nofilter #art #meditations #innerreflection
