This painting is currently hanging above the front doors at @baldfacelodge, reflecting the view from the front windows of the lodge when the ridgeline is socked in. When it’s clear, the valley fog pulses and the mountains peak up in the distance as the sky turns a mixture of yellows, teal, and pink. More often than not, it’s a whiteout up here as the snow comes through in thick waves. . Mornings like this are special, no matter how many times you see them unfold. . Great Big Story :: Canvas in the Clouds . . Progress is a Process. This summer I worked with @greatbigstory to create a large scale painting in the mountains, and then turn that experience into a 1600 sq ft mural in Squamish. I’ve never opened up my creative process as much as this, but I am grateful to the team at @courageous_studio for capturing it so beautifully. . . Sunrise Above :: Single Line ((Zoom In)) . #getoutoftownvibe . My mom is out visiting from New York this week, so I thought I’d show her a few different sides of BC. This morning we opted to take our coffee above the town of Osoyoos where she cozied up in the truck while I took my pen out for a wander. . It’s a joy to share the places I adore with the people I love, especially those who are physically on the other side of the country. I love it here; I’m a better version of my self because of these places, and I am grateful to have the unconditional support of my creative pursuits. .
