. Wander Home . #colorstudy . It has felt so good to be back on the coast the past week with some of my favourite humans in some of my favourite places. . This time of year is usually a bit sad for me. My family is predominantly out on the east coast and I feel guilty not being able to sit by the fireplace with my nieces, prep and cook meals with my parents, laugh (and likely bicker) with my brothers, and share stories of the passing year with my grandparents. . So every year I remind myself that family is beyond blood relation, and your community is what you make of it. That carrying guilt doesn’t benefit either party, and the best thing I can do is lean into the experiences and people right in front of me. . I live in British Columbia because I love the wilderness here and the adventures it offers. I love sharing that stoke with my immediate community on the skin track, and my distant community through my artwork. I may not be around the fireside with you this year, but that doesn’t mean you’re not on my mind.
