I’m reposting so much content about vitiligo bc I was thinking “What if Soulmarks show as skin conditions?” and then was like “What if Maxley kissed and suddenly Max’s face suddenly alters some?” which of course brings in the potential internal angst of “There’s nothing wrong with how I looked before, but I’m kinda happy it’s less obvious; but then again it’s almost more obvious now and I don’t want to feel upset about this, but I am” kinda thing.
I’m not someone with vitiligo though so not sure I would wanna write this myself without asking someone who has it for how they feel about it. On the one hand: Yay! Vitiligo is beautiful and absolutely deserves to be celebrated. On the other hand: Some people absolutely don’t like their vitiligo and maybe feel isolated by the lack of representation showing people like them.
So like, lemme know what y’all think, I guess. I don’t think I’ll get around to writing this anyways, but I’d love to know I inspired others to write :) And the initial “Skin Marks are Soul Marks” thing is amazing as is imo so go wild!!
