i think i have dermatophagia bc someone posted on Facebook and i just looked up the definition and. its a type of impulse control disorder where one bites their own skin
i finally have a word that describes my ticks. I'm actually really freaking out bc I've had this since like elementary school and i bite the skin on my fingers a lot i just thought i had an oral fixation but no i constantly do it and I've gotten infected fingers before. but if you look at my fingers they're not very bad, it just looks like i have a shit ton of hang nails
the entire time I've been typing I've been biting my index finger i realized its gotten worse over the years. now i bite and pick and chew especially at scabs
