Perfecting the details of my skin for sims 2, an adolescent sim
Growth stages in my skin Definition, skin 1
The skin is in its finalized stage, I still need to correct small aesthetic errors in the bodies of the sims.
I failed to add in the infant stage of the girl, it is because the sim was a visitor, not a controllable sim of the house.
I had fun looking for how the sims would express themselves in different animations on the faces.
I miss the Sims 3 bump map on muscle definition that makes your Sim look really ripped. The default one’s just shadow paint, but unlike normal maps, they don’t react to lighting and look as dull. Kinda late on the party, as there are some mods that enhance the muscle feature. But anyway, here’s my version that makes the flat muscle texture pop out (Oh, and veins, yes!).
You can find two versions of these - as top or skin detail (tagged as a left mole). If you want it to look more smooth and polished, I recommend using the top version.
The skin detail gives a bit of a bug that IDK how to fix, so it doesn’t react too well with some EA clothes that have normal maps as well. They kinda look like flickering patches on the muscle def. The top version is more constricted, but I guess I did like the skin detail version since the definition will always be visible on any outfit worn. Have fun!
