When Naegi discovered Maizono the next day is probably their worst one -- as it's the one with variations of it. Sometimes she's still alive and accuses them of letting her be murdered, other times they're the one who stabbed her that night and there's blood all over their hands still wet -- sometimes there's more than one body in the shower.

Then there's just the replaying of his execution -- except Alter Ego doesn't save them that time and they usually wake up right before they're supposed to be crushed.

Naegi honestly values mercy above everything. To give someone the chance of turning things around and atoning for whatever thing they might've done speaks volumes rather than what other people think they deserve. Especially if they feel the person has suffered enough. Like..should a person get consequences for screwing up ? Of course. But there's an extent. Don't hold it over someone's head if they're trying their best to make up for that.

And, god. Their idea of peace in the world at this point would just be people to stop dying. For lives to stop being taken and instead more people eager to start rebuilding and let this horrible storm pass already.
