i kinda feel like for a worm adaptation to work, it would have to be about the ppl around taylor, instead of taylor. if you take just, like, the story, and then tear out all of taylor's interiority—which i think you should, i don't think it's a particularly interesting puzzle to figure out how to leave her internal monologues in—you're left with... an absolutely fucking terrifying child doing what is transparently supervillainy, who very occasionally expresses remorse, regret, and deep frustration that people simply don't understand that she's not actually doing bad things, not really, not like the real bad people out there.

maybe taylor would be a less empathetic figure but i don't think that's a bad thing necessarily. and just think of how much more we could connect with the secondary worm characters if we were watching quite literally alongside them taylor's descent, and descent, and descent, and descent
