I've been browsing some Portland/Oregon history this morning, and this is the most amazing thing I've found.
SKY BUS! It's seriously so fantastical that it feels like a fake newsreel. But I've found more links about it.

It was apparently LITERALLY a city bus that they stuck on some wires.
