Most four-year-olds have imaginary friends. I had uninvited guests.
While other kids were afraid of monsters under the bed, I was explaining to my parents that the lady in the hallway wasn't going to hurt anyone—she was just looking for her daughter. Spoiler alert: they didn't believe me. But the spirits? They didn't care whether anyone believed. They just kept showing up.
Fast Forward a Few Decades
That weird kid who saw things? She grew up to become the lead psychic on a paranormal investigation team. Because apparently, walking into haunted locations at midnight and communicating with entities stuck between worlds is a perfectly reasonable career path when you've been doing it since preschool.
I've read tarot in condemned buildings. I've channeled messages in places so heavy with residual energy that breathing felt like swimming. I've helped people find closure, clarity, and answers to questions they were afraid to ask out loud.
