Chalk Talk - 'Bad Influences'
Chalk Talk's latest offering, Bad Influences, is the brooding introverts summer choice EP. Taking cues from the garage, the beach and the depressed american suburb, this concise album is wrought with refreshing scumpoppy goodness. The opening 8 second drum flurry 'Outro' ushers you into a hazy, trouble addled yet distinctly soothing sound. The album peaks at 'Babe Paralysis', starting off with a creamy beat and some psychy panned guitar, the tune descends into a frantic skramzy chant, paving the way for the the final track 'Memo: Spliff' a radically cathartic album closer. Anyway, Bad Influences is apathetically dope, def check it out.
Also, these tunes reminded me of Waltz Bop Shop, who are kinda weird I guess.
