Still thinking of my confusing memories... But. At the same time I've kind of come to terms with it. I'm a strange, strange guy. Yes I am Dawn/Pearl, but I'm also a Skull Grunt hiding in Alola. I has a breakdown. I dyed my hair blond. I went back in TIME. I ran away from home twice technically, because of going back in time. I've lived in three different Regions. The FBI (Looker) was hiding my location. Nuts.

All this memory retrospection makes my head hurt sometimes. But I am starting to for sure realize that, yes. I was. I was Dawn! But in my timeline, I was named Pearl.
The stress of being seen as a "savior of Sinnoh" for dealing with Cyrus and becoming champ at a young age- It broke me. I felt like I was holding way too much weight on my shoulders for a literal 10 year old. I holed up in my room for about 4 years- Aaaand ended up in Hisui! It felt like Arceus was playing a cruel joke on me. But after a few months, I managed to come back home with Ingo! I was happy to be home, but. I still felt tired. I had just become some kinda legendary hero. Twice.
And I was so tired. I had realized in Hisui that I didn't care for the cutesy pink skirts my mom dressed me in... Heck, I let Arezu cut my hair short for the first time.
Yet, the moment I came back, I dyed my hair blond and disappeared. If you find yourself wondering where Dawn/Pearl went after she suddenly disappeared at age 14, this might be your explanation. I went in search for something more and well, when I was 19, I found Guzma and Plumeria in Alola and became a Skull Grunt!
I feel like I should apologize to Barry and Lucas... I just had a weird panic attack, became a recluse, and vanished. I had heard Lucas took my place as champion at some point in the news. I was so proud of him! I felt so bad leaving them both like that, they had been such good friends, but I had to leave.
And it wasn't as if I was miserable anymore, far from it! I found myself in Alola, really! I felt so free with Team Skull. Sure, we fooled around a lot and got into trouble, but they were amazing! Guzma especially... He meant a lot to me.
So it seems that that's it! I wonder if this explains my sudden disappearance to anyone? My timeline feels so far out there, but it's nice to begin reflecting on all this. To all my canonmates, thank you so much for getting me through all of this and being there with me!

The mentioning of Pecha berries by that one anon gives me a curious question for other Pokémon kin folks.
Do you guys have any specific memories of berries and their tastes? I usually remember quite a few of them tasting like foods they were sorta "based" on... Like I'd compare Leppa berries to apples or Rawst berries being like weird strawberries.

Gah, this is really embarrassing to even write...
But I'm just sitting here awake, thinking about you. You really helped me be the man I always wanted to be. Did you even have any idea I was some runaway "hero" when we met? Did I ever even really tell you? I can't remember, but I doubt you'd have cared. Not in a heartless way, but in that way you never cared about where I came from and who I was, instead you cared about who I became.
You were so special to me. We spent my 20th birthday just sitting on the roof of the shady house, talking about everything and nothing at the same time. You wrapped that jacket of yours around my shoulders, and I could swear I felt my heart skip.
I loved you more than you could ever imagine. Oh, how I wish I could hold you one more time. #⚪️💀💙

Anyway, today I wanna talk about the weird in-between I experienced from ages 14 to 19 and also leave this as a strange thank you specifically to Ingo, Emmet, and Looker!
I lived in Unova for most of that time. The idea of going home was kinda daunting... So, I managed to convince Ingo to let me stay with him and Emmet for a while. Ingo- He wasn't so sure about the decision, but after all I had confided in him, he ended up agreeing. I enjoyed it, sure, but things didn't quite feel right just yet to me.
I still holed myself up a lot indoors and watched the news a little too much. The final events of BW2 and eventually XY came and passed during that time. Occasionally, I'd see stuff about myself, but I became more of an old topic once things like the stuff with Team Plasma and Team Flare popped up.
I feel like I had a silent agreement with Looker, too. My timeline felt more like it closely resembled DPP all sorta rolled together in a weird way, so I had helped him with stuff regarding Team Galactic. So naturally, with him being Interpol and all, he kinda had an idea where I was during those days in Unova... But he kept it under wraps.
I think I might've run across him once or so when I relocated to Alola, actually. Due to him investigating the wormholes, and all, y'know. He checked in on me, and I feel like he could tell I was much happier than I ever had been in my childhood. And I was, for sure! Getting to transition and live how I wanted to alongside the rest of the team was amazing.
So um. Thanks, to you three. I know I was kind of a handful thanks to all the mess I was going through at such a young age, but. Having people around me really helped in ways I can't begin to describe. Especially Ingo and Emmet, I can't thank them enough! All of you guys are amazing. I'm rooting for you, wherever you are!

Fellow Pokekins are probably gonna be real confused when they see my last confession before this one. "What do you mean you could be Dawn?"
I'm not 100% sure admittedly, but, for some context, the Rainbow Rocket episode is something that happened in my timeline, as the events of Ultra happened after Sun/Moon for me. So, because of that, it led me into encountering the other evil team bosses. One of which being Cyrus.
He looked at me like be was seeing someone he hadn't seen in ages. And as recognition came over him, he called me Pearl.
I had assumed I was just a Skull Grunt who grew up in Sinnoh, but I'm not even sure that's the end of it anymore. Next chance I get, I'm scurrying to my DS to replay Pearl, I wanna see if it'll lead to anything further here.
It's needless to say that my timeline is stacking up to be really, really weird. I wonder what happened to me if I really was Dawn, or uh. Pearl, I guess in this case. Did I transition and run off after stopping Cyrus? I wonder why. Prepare for some whacky updates as I sort this out, guys.

Hi, it's that Skull Grunt, it's been a while. Uh. I had a really intense memory recently, I'll probably talk about it later but just know that... I might not be as "non-canon" as I assumed? And that I miiight be Dawn? It's. A lot to explain, holy Magikarp this is a lot to take in.

Well, despite being a Skull Grunt, I grew up in Sinnoh. My starter was a Piplup. His name is Emperor and he was an Empoleon eventually! He's so dear to me, even now!
