omg throwing this into the void IN CASE anyone in skyblr can see this and help me figure out what's going on 😭😭😭

I entered Eden with a friend, and we found another couple along the way. Since this was my friend's first time, we took a bit longer to finish than the other two... Now we're stuck right before being reborn... can't touch the child of light, can't go to orbit, etc.... Does anyone know how to solve this? :( Since we haven't been reborn, we can't do anything else in the game (other than go back to this same exact part, walk up to it, and get stuck again) ;-;
