Nest vision 4

So as the feedback described, I make a new updated vision of the nest. It gives a length of the entrance. Also soft the edges and add some small details.

Did a few other objects based on the concept art and recording to life metal pieces

Did a simple model of the nest new design again. I’ll do the sculpture after I show this to the director and have a discussion about it.

Modeling the interiors ( nest vision 3)

With a whole new concept design, I have the task to do a new vision of the nest in two weeks. I decided to do some interior parts first. So I start with the most completed part, the bike. This is a simple color applied vision so far. I make the most of the bike can be torn apart and it should be easily manipulated in the scene.

I’ll also do the other small things this week and a rough shape of the nest later.

Environment Concept development

At this stage, I haven’t had the script, so I did some designs based on the general ideas and directer’s pitch.

I hand drew first then use the scanner and put them into photoshop to add some effects.

Our Sky machine director Casper sent me the concept tonight so I’m starting the nest model. Sorin has talked about more like a real bird nest so I actually looked up some bird nest. The one which really intrigues me is the paradise bird nest. So I sort of combine Casper’s design with that a little. :-)
