So since 3S was originally a TMOM AU, when did you make the switch and decide to set it in the SCU instead of the game universe?

Hi Queenie! 👋

So, in the beginning, 3S evolved actually very quickly. I say this so much, but my best friend, @maddiebwrites , was a HUGE help in figuring stuff out, even if she isn't that huge a Sonic fan. She encouraged me to turn the TMOM fanfic into something original that I could tell myself.

The decision to make 3S originate in the SCU is from a very deep love of two essential characters: Tom and Maddie Wachowski. I LOVED them from the start, and it wasn't so much a love of the SCU itself as much as it was a love of those characters that made the decision for me. When I was still figuring out what I wanted for 3S, after the rewrite that took the story from Gods to Kings, I knew I wanted the Donut Dad and the Pretzel Mom in my cast! 🥰

At first, I was hesitant to base 3S in the SCU entirely and considered turning Tom and Maddie into Mobians that found and adopted Sonic when he was young... but that was out the window pretty fast when it proved to have too many holes. Holes that the first two movies of the SCU filled, so into the Cinematic Universe we went! 😁

#3 ... Actually, my all-time favorite line of narration hasn't happened yet, hehe! 😁 So far out of what you guys have seen, hmm... (There's so many great ones aaaaaaa) I'm gonna say, for now, it's that line in Chapter Six, when Bethesda is pushing Silver through the Time Window: "His survival depended not on her ability to hold him close, but her ability to push him away." It takes such strength as a mother to do what's best for your babies, even if that means sending them away where you can't follow, and it breaks my heart for her every time. 💔 (I cried so much writing Bethesda’s death. 😭)

#5 All of Chapter Three. Literally. I dithered over that Chapter for weeks. Even if I knew what had to happen, getting it out was worse than pulling teeth! I just wanted to skip ahead into Four, to get into the real meat of the story, but aaaaaaaaaaa I couldn't. 😭. I think Chapter 3 of the rough draft took me three months. I literally had to put it away for a little while and work on something else because it was making me insane. 😵‍💫

#9 Yes, actually, there were FOUR. Three Sovereigns underwent FOUR major rewrites before it finally settled into the story it is now. Originally at inception, it was a fanfiction of The Murder of Me, then it actually started plotting, and became an original AU about Triple S as reincarnated Gods in hiding... and then because I was worried about being too close to TMOM's plot, the hedgies became Kings! There was one more rewrite between that version and now, and unfortunately, I'm unable to share the details of that one before Three Sovereigns finishes because it's too spoilery... but I had to rewrite it because of a huge plot hole I couldn't figure out how to get around. 😭 Ugh, it still hurts me to this day, and I still have the outline for it! I just can't make myself get rid of it, even though it's a version of 3S that won't get told. 🥺

💌: What's a favorite moment you've written so far?

When Omega channels Clint Eastwood on Scourge in Chapter Three of the Three Sovereigns. 😂😂 It's just so silly and fun and not at all what you would expect Omega to say and I absolutely loved writing it. There's so many moments in all of my writing that I just love and this is one of them!

📖: What's your favorite Sonic Fic/Comic/Video Series?

The Tails that Bond by Tailsfan109 is INCREDIBLE!! An AU prequel about how Tails met Sonic and their journey to brotherhood, this series has EVERYTHING. It's sweet, its fluffy, its angsty, the comedic timing is spot on... I could rave all day about this fantastic series! And Tailsfan doesn't just deliver within the main series, there's an entire collection of minisodes and photo renders centered in this world that both melt and break your heart! 10000000 stars!

🧭: If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

So one of my favorite things to do is travel and visit places. I'd buy and live out of an RV if I could get away with it! 😂 One place I have always wanted to go is Venice, Italy! I remember seeing photos of Venice when I was little and just being absolutely mystified and enchanted by this beautiful city. It was actually on my teenage self's bucket list to live there for a year!
