Radical Gator hosted another collab - this time, Transformers themed - and I contributed with Beast Wars Sky Shadow!

In the full collab piece, I was only able to submit the flats because I ran outta time due to Planet Comicon this past weekend (which was fantastic as always). I had actually been wanting to do a piece of him for a while, especially after getting my toy of him back out of storage, so this was a great reason to finally draw him. Though unlike the Anguirus I drew for the Kaijune collab last year, which was all-digital, I drew and inked this piece traditionally, then colored it digitally.

I love Sky Shadow's design. It's like a mix of the Predator, Green Goblin, and a Zoanoid.

Was Sky-Byte present in the Aurex cluster? If so, was he a member of Sharkticon?

Sky-Byte had no relation to the Decepticon Sharkticon that I am aware of. He was a Mini-Con who took the form of a hammerhead shark, and a member of the Ocean Raider Team alongside Sea Spray, an RB-M utility boat, and Nightcruz, a littoral stealth ship. Despite Sky-Byte’s aggressive and contrarian personality, prone to picking fights over any excuse, the trio got along well.

Their exact exploits have varied between realities. In one timeline, they were pirates, a constant thorn in the side of the Mini-Con Council of Sages. In another, they fought in the Beast Wars of Alpha Q’s realm, being dispatched on the Doomsday to bolster the Predacon forces on the Ocean Planet. In another still, Sky-Byte alone was caught up in a different Beast Wars on prehistoric Earth, where he was captured by the Tripredacus Council's agent Sky Shadow.

Outside the universes you speak of, the Mini-Con Sky-Byte was created by the Last Autobot, tasked with eliminating the Mutants and Demons from Cybertron’s subterranean canals, only to instead develop a complicated allegiance to Broadside’s dissident regime. And there also exist several universes where Sky-Byte is a full-sized Transformer—in one, he formed a musical act with Jazz, regular performers at Maccadam’s Old Oil House.

Slightly late but I horfed down Last Bot Standing like a pelican last week, saw and fell in love with @dataglitch ‘s yeehaw-formers, and uhhh may or may not have been inspired ^^; so enjoy beloved sheriff Fort Max (and his horse, Luna-1) and bastard outlaw Black Shadow! i havent drawn a gun or a horse in years and it probably shows asdfghj

(Also have a nakey Black because I did all his details only to remember last-second that I was throwing a huge cape over half of it F)

Day 105: Black Shadow/Sky Shadow (Transformers Victory)

So I was going through the shelves today, and I found one of my few Japanese characters, Black Shadow!

I have his Generations toy (the repaint of Thunderwing.) I got him used so he has the wrong guns and a busted thumb, but he’s still menacing! Don’t tell him, but I do think he should be a tad taller. Especially standing next to the siege/earthrise Decepticons.

I like him a lot, and I hope that he gets an American role someday! Maybe if I get the nerve to write a comic, he’ll be in it!
