It was generally a calm, peaceful day for the most part, perfect? no, who could truly have a perfect day, but it was a time to do whatever you wished and have no worries.

That was until a thunderous reverberation of a boom was heard, echoing across seemingly everywhere, a powerful windstorm zipping across the lower atmosphere while the environment shivered and shook as if an earthquake was hitting.

What was causing this?

But none sooner than it began, did it all come to a sudden stop, the day returning to normal as if nothing occured asides from the chaotic damage, nothing too terrible however.

The damage done though was soon showing to have a source, the further out from the main point of this effect, the less damage there was, perhaps if someone were to follow the damage and investigate, they’d find the cause for this sudden disaster.

Jerard had returned, leaving his things just outside. No use in bringing in the contaminated materials and risk infecting Tails with the mutagen. Even knowing they might be able to survive it, he’d rather not risk it.

He decided to go check on Sonic and see how he was doing, but he wasn’t prepared for what came next.

He was startled by the sight, being somewhat reminded of another disturbing sight, though this one had a different feeling associated with it. Pity. Remorse. Empathy. Sadness. He froze, wondering if he should wake him up, or if he was....gone...

There was only one way to find out. He placed a hand on Sonic’s shoulder, giving it a slight shove.

After practically screaming his guts out from the initial shock, the now mostly blue ‘Dan’ was staring at his new physique while constantly looking back at his own ‘body’ whom was also starting to stir about.

“I’m dreaming right? I’ve gotta be dreaming...maybe if I......OW!” Interrupting himself as he tried to pinching himself on the arm strongly to snap out of it.

Obviously there was no difference aside from a stinging pain on his arm now.

“Ok so its not a dream...but what the heck is going on!?”

“Dude, I spin all the time! Can’t be that bad!”

“Yeah but it’s nothin’ like this. It’s like those things that speed you up on the ground in your games but...there’s like ten of ‘em in a row together in a hallway. Then you spin all around the room until you’re queasy. And if you step on the wrong path you get sent all the way back to the begining...”

A thunderstorm has just rolled in!

Send 🌌 for the power/lights to go out due to the storm and both our muses stuck in the dark!

With a loud click, the lights of the Smash Mansion went off. Red wasn’t really afraid of the dark, his cave on Mount Silver was plenty dark. Yet what made the Trainer scared was the loud thunder outside! He didn’t feel safe alone in his room, not with this loud booming thunder outside. He opens his door slowly, trying to hide the fright in his voice.

“H-Hellooo? A-Anyone there?”

The sudden speedy kick rather easily knocked the demon in disguise to the side, making him fall into an upright sitting position with a thud, that didnt half hurt receiving a kick from a speedster whom was apparently in quite a rush.

Despite the pain he felt on his lower right side of the waist, he got himself back up and looked in the direction the blue blur he’d barely seen had gone. “So running around me wasnt an option huh?” he mumbled to himself in anger, edged on by both the pain and merely comprehending the unprovoked attack.

“Not only does he decide to hit me aside, but there wasnt even as much as an apology….grrrr….” The anger continued to swell up before he bellowed outloud. “Yeah you better keep running!” Before rushing off along on the same trial as his attacker had gone.

Of course chasing a certain blue hedgehog who was known for speed…..it was likely going to take awhile or a slip up on their part for the demon to actually catch up.
