I think my favorite thing abt the Dishonored games so far is that the comical overlap with the Skyrim voice cast has resulted in my beloved dad being MERCER FUCKING FREY
Tattoo references
Been practicing painting backgrounds as of late.
Here’s one from a couple months back- It’s one of the stills from a short film I’ve been dwelling on called “Skybutt”
Throwback to my old Skybolt
The OG Brightly colored biplane, the airplane that literally stranded me on a corner in Winslow AZ, the one that tried its best to kill me multiple times, the most eye opening relationship I’ve had in aviation…. the Skybutt
Throwback to the original brightly colored biplane and my first airplane. The Skybutt.
I don't know this actor's name but his whole shtick in Skyrim is IF YOU LOOK AT ME FUNNY I WILL PEEL YOUR SKIN OFF WITH MY B A R E H A N D S but his shtick in Dishonored 2 is like, saving his beloved daughter? And it's giving me mega whiplash
Why do I enjoy Skyrim so much but find Fallout 4 so blah? They have reeeeaaaally similar gameplay. It would stand to reason that I'd like Fallout just as much. Honestly I think it might just be that the Wasteland is so relentlessly ugly and dismal. A big part of what I do in Skyrim is explore and the reward for exploring is pretty high bc you find all kinds of cool stuff and beautiful places. But exploring the Commonwealth is just like, aha, I see I have found... MORE dead trees!! That's one for the history books fellas!! Like ugh, who cares?
The characters in Fallout are better, the interpersonal mechanics are more fleshed out, the writing is, maybe not better but there's more of it. And that I enjoy, but I don't find exploring the world inherently fun or rewarding. It's just boring. I realize I could install mods to make the game prettier but it's not just that. Part of what I like about Skyrim is all the little places people made in the game, the fairy ring, the waterfalls, clearings in the woods full of flowers, that kind of stuff. Installing some mods to make the trees and grass look better wouldn't magically generate all those little places that just don't exist in Fallout.
Also, being a wizard is objectively cooler than being a post-apocalyptic gunslinger. Just saying.
