Random useless headcanon I have about Perceptor:

Every time I make a sparkling for him they're always a girl. That's just kinda how it ended up but it's become a pattern (for the record this includes: Scopes (Driftceptor), Starsong (Skyceptor) and Spitfire (Starceptor)). I've just sort of decided that if Percy has a baby they will always be a girl.

Because of this I've decided that Perceptor's family is entirely made up of femmes and him being a mech is the outlier. He's just like "I come from a long proud line of lesbians".

Ooh please talk about Perceptor, idc how, I just love your take on him. Skyceptor sparkling? Perceptor in Corruption AU? Perceptor + hmm idek Warrior Cats AU??? Sign me the fuck up!

I’ll answer the Skyceptor stuff here then the Corruption stuff in a separate post.

Skyceptor tends to be my go-to pairing in AU’s where Starscream is maybe a bit too far gone for me to ship SkyStar. So the AU where I had a Skyceptor sparkling goes thus:

Sometime after the events of the movie (so Starscream is dead) and peace has eventually been declared between the Bots and Cons, Skyfire decides he wants to get back his old science exploration stuff and Perceptor goes with him. The two live on a scientific outpost on one of the outer worlds, and slowly feelings start to develop between them.

Eventually they have a sparkling together, Skyfire is the carrier. They have a baby daughter and she’s a little deep red shuttle with a tiny microscope lens on her shoulder. Her name is Starsong (in Vosian it’s one single accent mark off of being ‘Starscream’ which Skyfire put as a subtle little way to honour his old friends memory. Perceptor is livid when he finds out).

Starsong is nice and sweet and she loves both her creators. She’s very curious about science and sometimes comes with her dads on their science outings. Sometimes Skyfire asks her to collect samples (normally he gives her a bucket and asks her to collect as many different types of rocks as she can find). While she collects things she likes to sing to herself, and it helps her dads keep a track of where she is while they work.

(The story totally gets complicated by when Starscream’s ghost suddenly shows up thinking he can get back with Skyfire and entirely unaware Skyfire has moved on)

,,,,maybe new ot3 thoughts on starskyceptor? Percy and Sky getting close more as friends at first, just two pacifists doing science together. Star keeps targeting Percy, though he tries to hide it. Badly. Percy gets hurt on more than one occasion, and sky feels he's to blame- says so to Percy, suggests they shouldn't work together anymore. Percy denies this and want to continue working together, they click easily. In one of Stars attempts he gets too rushed and gets captured. (2/2)

Sky avidly avoids the brig, Percy notices this, notices how much his friend misses Star. Asks to be placed in charge of Stars care, OP allows it. Of course Percy cant give away autobot Intel but he does give updates on sky. Tiny things just to ease Stars mind. It’s a surprising show of kindness. Of course comes the day Star breaks out, and to get away unharmed takes Percy as his hostage (either locks him in his alt mode somehow maybe?) and uses him to get away. Thoughts on what happens next?(2/2 

Hahaha I like it. To be honest, it wouldn’t be that hard to kidnap Percy. I mean, I could kidnap Percy with some determination, some industrial strength wire and a few lasso lessons.

Star probably grabbed Perceptor when the cell bars were powered down for two seconds. However, once he manages to drag Perceptor out of the Ark he doesn’t go straight back to the Decepticons, but takes Perceptor to some cave somewhere.

The intention is more actually to try and lure Skyfire there by promising he’ll let Perceptor go if Skyfire comes there alone. They actually do manage to come to an agreement and Sky and Percy leave safely.

Starscream misses hanging out and doing sciency stuff with other people so they arrange a couple of secret meetups and do fun sciency things. Happy Ending.
