Horizon Forbidden West machine headshots compilation 1/5.

I wanted to do a summary of my headshots (not including tallnecks, which had their own compilation already) coz I think they look pretty good en masse. One or two machines are technically missing from my collection (grimhorn and specter prime) but neither are available to snap post-game (and I'm not yet mentally prepared for playthrough #4). Hopefully you'll forgive me.

Anyway, here we go. These are in no particular order, but I did pair them up according to some strange connections my brain made.

Sunwing - Waterwing (team flappy bird)

Horizontober Day 29 - Mark

Beta had initially named her Skydrifter Pumpkin because of the way his yellow scanning eye reminded her of a jack-o-lantern. The name had come first, and the decision to repaint all his armor plates with dull orange had come after that. The plates looked great against the dark black of his machine muscles and completed the pumpkin feel.

The color pattern was a bit too regular, so beta decided to add another color to break up the orange, settling on an ivory white. She wet another new brush and began adding several thick white streaks onto Pumpkin's various armor plates. Though someone random in choice, she made sure there was a left/right symmetry to the stripes. The exception was the few thin lines she added to his left cranial plate. These had the look of warpaint and added a certain fierceness to the scout machine. As a final touch Beta took up a pot of crystal blue paint and drew her personal sigil, the feathered "B" on the upper left of his chest plate. There could be no mistaking the Skydrifter as hers now. Maybe she could add some feather charms to him? That might look nice. Something for the future though.

Beta gave Pumpkin a pat on the head. "Do you like it buddy?" she asked the machine

His eye flashed yellow and he bobbed his head enthusiastically. Whether he actually understood the question was up for debate, but Beta liked to think he did.
