I beat the game a few different ways now and I am completely obsessed with the idea that after the events of the first Hollow Knight, Hollow and Hornet get to live a borderline 'normal' life cleaning up the broken pieces of the kingdom.

Hornet takes care of her broken big sibling. Hollow free from the egg and able to Perceive the other siblings Hornet cannot see in every day life.

She's a good little sister.

I wonder if she knows how much her siblings adore her.

I hurt myself making doodles about how Hornet might have dealt with the news about her mother becoming one of the Dreamer Seals. I know she's cool and collected in game, but what if she was just a little kid who had big feelings? And also what if the Pure Vessel was there?

I realized after I drew all these that it would be highly unlikely for the Pure Vessel to speak since that was its whole point LMFAO but it's FINE. I'm fine with the idea of PV being coherent and polite and amenable until the infection (when they lose their voice). But I digress.

I don't think they'd be allowed to interact that much, with Herrah not trusting the Pale King or his vessels in the slightest. Hornet is peripherally aware they have a connection but it doesn't matter: she's a mama's girl.

Hornet was a precocious little bean. Feral and full of spunk.

Let's bite people with mama. Scheme with mama. Play with mama.

Sad without mama. There are few things that hurt worse than losing your parent. Than KNOWING you're going to lose a parent.

No voice to cry suffering, but two arms fit for holding.

(Ignore the date I thought yesterday was the 3rd) The Pure Vessel would be a very good big sibling when not under the close gaze of his father or the knights TT__TT

The idea of Hornet going back to check on all her friends after the events of Act 3 and introducing Lace properly to everyone. This is my happy brain hole spot now. I live here and so do you. Mild spoilers in my rambling below.

Yes I know my sketches are messy, no I don't care! I love them your honour.

I like the idea of Hornet and Lace being queerplatonic friends. A companionship between them, where Hornet shows Lace the world and helps keep her alive and Lace helps Hornet make things better while also getting a chance to properly grow up.

They both become better people, and since Lace is a whole new type of being they'll live as long as one another. They won't stay in Pharloom forever but they'd stick around to help where they could.

Isn't that the dream?

After playing a lot more Silksong and now replaying through Hollow Knight (and ofc still thinkin' bout this post) ...

I am 100% understanding people who draw the happy family post-infection dynamic like it is cleansing to my heart XD I just want these bugs to be happy!!!

Even if one of them is the unifying force of the Void :3

New Minecraft urge, new Minecraft character! I wanna play a lil thieving gremlin Allay, Lyra! Definitely not inspired by any of my Hollow Knight adventures, surely not.

And ofc for good measure, my old standard go-to handsome enderman character, Loam.
