No but
Coulson STILL hasn’t seen Skye using her powers (on screen). Which makes me sad, even as Skye driving Coulson in Lola off into the sunset into the future made me gleeful!

But now, Skye’s (sky) the limit.
No pun intended, I guess.
“Would you like to go home?” It’s okay beautiful, I’ll show you the way.
For @AgentsofSHIELD return-is Skye's power vibration?? Bc all I can think is "get a handle on that and you'd be really popular with ladies".
Is weird how much Skye's dad remind me of Ward in the last episode? His reaction and what he did is what I feared Ward would do if he ever thought Skye was hooking with Lance or Trip. Shippers have made joke on how he kill Lance if he got with Skye I am like no seriously he would not funny. Though I can't wait for Skye meeting her dad I need to find out abut her alien past and if she has any powers!! Her dad def had super strength no?
Not weird at all that Skye’s dad gives you Ward vibes. Like, the freaking out over her seeing him as a monster would have already given me some of those feelings, but what really does it is the way Skye’s dad talks about the obelisk, right? Something along the lines of, “It will make her understand me.” Which, hello, Ward telling Skye that one day she would understand? Two men who want Skye to one day understand why murdering is cool…so, you know. Similarities. (Hey, perhaps that’s reason enough to start a whole reading of the show based on Ward being a daddy figure? Creepy daddy Ward, filling the role of creepy murdery daddy.)
I haven’t seen shippers making jokes about how Ward would kill someone that Skye got involved with, but honestly? When you’re all creepy possessive like that, and when all you really seem to want in the world is to manipulate someone like that… I can see it. And that would be another parallel with her father. (Which — hey — if he’s Kree, isn’t there a really strong death-penalty sort of thing for any non-Kree male who impregnates a Kree female? So, you know, horrible anger at Skye’s relationship with Coulson… Kidding. Mostly.)
But I do agree that if (when) Ward gets loose, he’s going to be a fucking stalker. And being a Skye-stalker will probably include killing anyone Skye is with. (Because so romantic, right?)
Which, by the way, I’m thinking that Ward and Raina will have somewhat-aligned agendas as this season moves forward…they’ll both want Skye. Now, Ward will want her for creepy stalker reasons and Raina will want her for bargaining reasons (also curiosity), but Ward will benefit from Raina’s help in “waking up” whatever’s in Skye. Plus, the AoS writers can just raid becketted's AO3 account again for some ideas on how to do a 'Coulson saves Skye from Ward & Raina, only to have Skye save him with her newly developed powers’ plotline. Which would be great.
I am also super excited about Skye getting powers. Also scared, of course (I’m always going to be a scared of this show and what they’ll do to Skye), but I just don’t see how the narrative of the show has anything to gain from making Skye turn evil. Not even, like, Evil!Willow evil, where she gets saved by love. Skye is a deeply moral and empathetic character, and I don’t foresee her having a particularly fun future as she discovers her alienness and powers, but I also don’t think she’ll become evil. I don’t even think Skye will become morally grey.
But yeah, her dad definitely had super strength (I think May’s comment made that clear, even if his actions left room for doubt). That would fit Inhuman theories, but it would also fit pretty much any other theory, too. I’m kind of wondering if anyone else thought it seemed like Skye’s dad was worried he was going to change/morph in some way? The way he was looking in the mirror while he choked Raina made me think that he was expecting to see something different than what he saw. (It could have also been a general face of him hating himself because, yes, that’s a dude that hates what he is. I almost have sympathy, you know, for his hatred of being a monster. But then I lose most of that when he chokes Raina and hands over a WMD to HYDRA?) Anyways, though, I couldn’t help but think he might have another form? (Which makes me think Skrull? But there are problems with that, not the least of which is that I’m not sure they’re allowed to use ’Skrull’ in this franchise. Also, if he’s Skrull, then that would mean Skye would have to have gotten her Kree DNA from elsewhere? … He could also be a Kree who has a human form and is infiltrating as a doctor/mad-scientist figure…)
Anyways, random speculation aside, I’m so crazy excited for how this is going to be developed. Just all of it. This week has been nuts, and I’m in a weird hotel room in a weird city, so I’m sorry if this is rambly and strange. But I tried.
Thanks for the ask! :)
