Daisy came to a sudden stop then turned on thespot so that she could look at Bobbi.

“Excuse me? You’re not going to let me do this?”

Placing her hands on her hips, she glared atthe other women.

“Yes. You’re not thinking this through andletting your emotions control you.”

Bobbi took a couple steps towards Daisy,carefully making sure not to move too fast like what someone would do when theywere trying to not startle a skittish animal.

“The team is in trouble and I need to dosomething.”

Taking Daisy’s hand, Bobbi gave it a squeeze.

“I know but you need to be smart about it. Otherwise,Hydra will win.”

She took a deep breath then brushed some hairout of Daisy’s face.

“You don’t have to do this alone. You haveMack, Joey and……you have me.”

Daisy felt herself relax a little as her initialpanic at losing the little family she found dissipated at Bobbi’s words.

“Thank you.”

Reaching up, she cupped Bobbi’s cheek thenkissed her gently.

You Can’t Ride Solo

For the anon who wanted anything Skyelance.

Inspired by this post.

Summary: Amusement parks are fun but there is a downside when you visit them in an odd-numbered group. 

Notes: Aka the Single Riders paired up AU you never knew you wanted.

It wasn’t Trip’s fault that he got sick, it really wasn’t and it wasn’t fair to blame him for not being able to come out to the amusement park with her, Fitz and Jemma. However, they hadn’t been able to get anyone else to use his ticket so the three friends went to the park, at Trip’s urging to have fun.

What they failed to consider was that most rides weren’t made for three people, just two.

So now Skye was waiting for the ride workers to pair her up with another single person before she could get onto the roller coaster that Fitz and Simmons were on.

“Alright, there’s an open seat in the car right up there.”

The attendant pointed to a car that was about six rows behind the one her friends got in so she headed in that direction.

Skye noticed that there was already someone in there.

“Hope you don’t mind the company.”

The man who was in the car looked over at her and she noticed that he was wearing a white v-neck tee and cargo pants.

“Not when that company looks like you, sweetheart.”

Skye rolled her eyes but she liked the accent; it sounded more like Jemma than Fitz so she was guessing that he was British.

She climbed into the cart then buckled up.

“So how did a charmer like you end up alone?”

The man next to her smirked.

“Too many ladies to choose from so I figured I let the attendant choose for me.”

Rolling her eyes again, Skye prepared for the ride to start.

Suddenly, the carts started to move out of the station and up the first hill.

At some point during the ride, one of the two people in the cart grabbed the other person’s hand but Skye didn’t know who did it.

Once the ride was over, she looked over at her companion.

“Well, it’s been a pleasure.”

“Oh, you haven’t experienced my brand of pleasure yet.”

Skye climbed out of the cart and was about to reply when she heard someone calling her name.

“Skye! Over here!”

Feeling someone brush against her, she looked to her left and it was that guy.

“See you around, love.”

She started walking towards her friends, positive she wouldn’t see mystery man again as the park was huge.

After a water and restroom break, the trio decided to go another ride. This time, it was a ride called the Black Widow like the codename of one of Skye’s favorite comic book character.  The carts where the riders sat were on the end of eight long legs and twisted and turned while the ride was in motion.

Once again, Skye found herself riding solo.

“Looks like you need another partner, love.”

She turned around and saw that it was the man from earlier.

“Are you volunteering?”

“I couldn’t very well let some unscrupulous person come and bother you now could I?”

“My own Knight in Shining Armor.”

“I do have the charming part down.”

Despite herself, Skye found herself amused by him.

“Does my knight have a name? That’s the only way he will be able to join me.”

“The name’s Lance Hunter, love and you’re Skye.”

“You remembered.”

Before the conversation could continue, they were herded into the next open cart.

“Here we go.”

The pair smirked at each other while settling into their seats.

The ride went quick but it didn’t feel like it with how much their cart was moving but it took both of them a moment to get their balance back and not throw up from dizziness.

“I don’t know about you but I think I need to sit down for a moment or two.”

Lance didn’t want to come off as a wuss but he wasn’t feeling so great either so he decided to join her.

Plus, he was enjoying her company and had no idea where his friends were.

The pair sat down on a nearby bench after getting their hands on some water.

“So how come you’ve been stuck with riding with strangers?”

Lance took a couple sips of his water before answering.

“I came to the park with two friends, Mack and Bobbi. Clearly, we can’t all ride together and I drew the short straw.”

Literally, they used straws to decide who would ride with who.

Though, he couldn’t complain because he met the hot woman who was sitting next to him.

Skye raised an eye brow at his answer.

“That’s the same thing that happened with my friends, Jemma and Fitz minus the literal use of straws. Our other friend was supposed to come with us but he got sick.”

“Guess we’re two peas in a pod, you and I.”

Speaking of their friends, they both looked around for them and were surprised by what they saw; it seemed they were trying to not get caught staring at each other while talking to each other about the person they were ‘subtly’ staring at.

“Well, that’s interesting.”

An idea occurred to Skye.

“So, we could either be really nice friends and put them out of their misery by separating them or make them squirm for constantly pairing up with each other so we’re left to ride solo by combining our two groups while grabbing something to eat.”

Several looks between their friends and each other made the decision for them as they both smirked.

“Make them squirm.”

As Skye started to head towards them, Lance grabbed her wrist to stop.

“Maybe….after this, we could grab a couple drinks without the added cargo.”

Skye looked at him.

“Are you asking me out on a date?”

He rubbed the back of his neck as he looked anywhere but at her.

“….yeah, I think I am.”

Skye smiled at him before kissing him on the cheek.

“I’d like that. You know what else I’d like? Your number.”

Lance grinned at her before holding out his phone then taking Skye’s when she did the same so he could put his number in her phone.

“Now that this is done, how about we get back to torturing our friends for abandoning us?”

The pair traded devious smirks before heading over to their friends.

While things turned out great, in both of their opinions, that didn’t mean their friends were off the hook.

Prompt 59: SOFTEN THE BLOW

Seeing Trip lunge for her leg, Skye quickly spun out of the way.

“Is that the best you can do?”

“Oh, you’ve seen nothing yet, girl.”

He got back up and tried to go for her again but she caught his arm.

Sparring with Trip was always a rush.

Skye remembered what May had taught her, so she moved into position and flipped him onto his back.

Lying on the ground, Trip let out a groan.

“Oh hush, just be glad I put mats down to soften the blow, Mr. Tough Agent.”

“I’ll get you back for this, just wait.”

Summary: Skye is sharp when it comes to relationships except her own.

Skye was working on her laptop in her dorm room when the door slammed open and her roommate, Bobbi, came storming into their room.

“Okay, what’s up Bobbi?”

Bobbi sighed as she dropped her bag on her desk.

“Some of the football players kept trying to ask me out when I was at the library so I couldn’t get my work done.”

Shaking her head, Skye felt sympathetic to her plight.

“I’m surprised they even knew where the library was.”

Bobbi laughed.

“What are you working on?”

“A paper for Professor Coulson’s class. Why?”

Skye wasn’t sure she liked the look on Bobbi’s face.

“You and I are having a night off. We’re going off campus for dinner then come back here to watch a movie in our pajamas.”

Without waiting for her to respond, Bobbi left their room to do one thing or another.

Skye bit her lip before returning her attention to her laptop.

“Don’t say a word, Jemma.”

Jemma just smiled knowingly at her.

“Oh, don’t give me that look. Go back to sticking your tongue down Trip’s throat.”

Jemma looked shocked at her statement.

Skye logged off before she could say anything.

Oh what have you gotten yourself into, Skye?

After showering and putting on a pair of dark skinny jeans and a dark green cami-style tank top, Skye paced around the room for a bit, her phone went off.

[Bobbi] Hey, hope you didn’t forget we’re doing dinner. Come meet me by my car.

[Skye]On my way.

She pulled on a brown suede jacket and shoes before heading out.

Spotting Bobbi by her car, Skye stopped short as she took in the other woman’s appearance: skinny jeans, a fitted t-shirt and sandals.

She was always amazed by how effortless Bobbi made it look.

Once she made sure she wasn’t blushing, Skye headed towards Bobbi.

“Hey Bobbi. I wasn’t sure if we were still going.”

Bobbi smiled then hugged her.

“Don’t think you can get rid of me that easy. You’ve been stuck with me since day one.”

Well, that was a problem that Skye was happy to have even though it wasn’t much of a problem to begin with.

The two women arrived at their favorite off campus restaurant; a diner called Hartley’s and they were quickly seated in their usual booth.

Skye had been looking over her menu for a few minutes when she realized how close Bobbi was sitting to her.

“Is there something I can help you with?”

Bobbi simply smiled.

“There’s something on the bench.”

Of course, Skye couldn’t see it from where she was sitting so she returned to her menu, missing the smug look on Bobbi’s face.

“What do you think you’re going to order?”

Skye tapped the menu with her finger.

“I’m thinking of the cheeseburger and French fries. You?”

“You know, that sounds good.”

Their favorite waitress walked over to the table and raised an eyebrow at how close they were sitting.

“Well, do you two look…cozy.”

Skye blushed as Bobbi gave the waitress a pointed look.

“Anyways, what can I get for you?”

“We’ll take two of the cheeseburger and fries with two Cokes.”

The waitress wrote down their order then went to put it in.

“So what’s your paper on?”

“My…paper?”

Bobbi laughed.

“You know the one you’re writing for Coulson’s class.”

“Oh yeah, that; something about Shakespeare.”

“Don’t ever change, Skye.”

“I thought you wanted me to change into my pajamas tonight, Bobbi.”

Bobbi threw a napkin at her.

“You know what I meant.”

Skye only laughed.

Before they could launch into a full napkin war, their waitress brought over their food and drinks.

“This smells delicious, though I may just be really hungry.”

Bobbi didn’t respond as she just took a bite of her burger.

The sounds that she made forced Skye to focus on her own meal so she didn’t do something that would embarrass herself.

Once they finished eating, Skye sat back with a satisfied grin on her face.

“That was one good burger. Now, I’m going to hit the bathroom before we pay and leave.”

While Skye was using the restroom, Bobbi waved over the waitress who brought their bill and quickly paid for the meal, ignoring the waitress’ knowing look.

Skye returned to the table right when Bobbi received the receipt to sign since she paid with her credit card.

“How much do I owe you, Bobbi?”

“Nothing, Skye.”

“Nuh-uh, I’m going to pay my fair share of the bill.”

“Nope, it’s all taken care of.”

Skye frowned.

“Come on, there’s a movie with our names on it waiting for us back in our room.”

Skye followed Bobbi out of the diner and back to her car.

Returning to their dorm room, Skye was annoyed that Bobbi had paid for their meal much to the woman’s amusement.

“I wanted to take you out, Skye.”

Of course, she realized that it didn’t sound like how Skye was sure Bobbi meant it and how she wanted it to sound.

She stripped off her top and tossed it into her basket so she could change into her pajamas as she was reminded of the rest of their plans for the night.

Thankfully, she was focused on changing otherwise, she would have noticed Bobbi’s flushed cheeks as she watched her for a couple moments before following her lead and changing into her own pajamas.

“Alright, what are we going to watch?”

Bobbi held up a familiar dvd case causing Skye to roll her eyes playfully.

“Hey! It’s been awhile since we watched Star Wars because someone wanted to watch something new.”

“Yeah, yeah….put it in would you?”

Bobbi grinned at the unintended innuendo causing Skye to look away.

Flopping down on Bobbi’s bed, she made herself comfortable as she watched the other woman set up the movie.

She grabbed the fluffiest of Bobbi’s pillow and put it behind her head before Bobbi could.

Bobbi just smiled at the sight of Skye in her bed.

“Alright, move over you. These beds weren’t made for two.”

“Well, if you weren’t such an Amazon, we’d have an easier time with this.”

After several minutes of moving around and Bobbi stealing her pillow back, they managed to get comfortable.

Skye was now using Bobbi’s shoulder as a pillow and rested her arm on Bobbi’s stomach as she lay halfway on her side while Bobbi wrapped her arm around Skye’s shoulder.

About forty minutes into the movie, Skye looked up and over at Bobbi and smiled at how cute she looked getting lost in one of her favorite movies she must have seen hundreds of time.

“Is there something on my face?”

Skye shook her head.

“I was just admiring the view.”

Bobbi brought her hand up to Skye’s hair and played with it as she smiled at the comment.

“You just look so cute being so excited about the movie even though I’m sure you could quote it by heart.”

“You think I’m cute?”

“I think you’re a lot of things; things that are really distracting and make me think about kissing you when I should be doing something productive.”

“You’re pretty distracting yourself.”

Before Skye could respond, Bobbi shifted so she could cup Skye’s cheek with her hand then slowly leaned in to kiss her, pausing for a moment to see if she was okay with this.

Skye nodded her head.

Bobbi closed the distance between them and kissed her gently.

The sounds of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo played on in the background but neither woman paid them any attention for the rest of the night.

The following afternoon, Skye was sitting at a table in dining hall when she heard someone call out her name.

“Skye!”

Looking around, she saw that it was her friend Jemma heading her way.

“Hey Jem. How’s it going?”

The other female smacked her in the shoulder after she sat down next to her.

“Owww! What was that for?”

Jemma glared at her.

“You know exactly what that was for.”

Skye smirked seeing someone coming up behind her friend.

“Oh? You mean the comment about you sticking your tongue down Trip’s throat?”

“What’s this about you sticking your tongue down my throat?”

Skye thought Jemma was going to faint with how fast the color drained from her face when she heard Trip speak up.

“Somethin’ you wanna tell me,  Jemma?”

She just ignored the question as she buried her face in her hands.

“Hey guys. What’s going on with Jemma?”

Bobbi appeared out of nowhere and sat down on the other side of Skye causing Trip to follow suit on Jemma’s other side.

“Apparently, Jemma has been sticking her tongue down my throat and I’ve missed it.”

Bobbi looked between the two with an amused grin.

“I hate all of you.”

Trip moved so he would whisper something in Jemma’s ears as Bobbi and Skye looked away.

The two women started to eat their lunch.

“So Bobbi, I missed you at Hunter’s party last night.”

Apparently, Trip was done whispering and calming Jemma down.

“I had other plans, better plans.”

She leaned over and kissed Skye’s cheek causing her to smile.

“About damn time, you two. We were going to lock you in a closet until you worked it out.”

Skye rolled her eyes then tossed a roll at Trip, who caught it and grinned at her.

Jemma couldn’t help looking smug.

All’s well that ends well, Skye supposed.

{A Bridge in the Middle of Nowhere || Skyelance}

Summary: Lance asks Skye to meet him on a bridge at midnight. Who knows what he has up his sleeve.

Alright, Skye had to admit that in all the time that she has known Lance Hunter, he didn’t always make a ton of sense; like always talking about his ex-wife even though he said he was over her. However, the message that he gave her this morning probably topped the list of ‘Lance Hunter’s Strange Behaviors’ but she was curious.

She replayed the short message in her head to try to discern any hidden meaning that she didn’t discover the first ten times she replayed it.

“Midnight, on the bridge. Come alone.”

There was a bridge just outside the town where the Playground was hidden underneath and she had been there a couple times before but not for long.

The message brought up another issue and that was, how she was going to get out of the base without anyone noticing.

Skye knew most of the inhabitants would be asleep but Coulson worked late some nights.

Still, she trusted her training and she was still a hacker so it should be doable.

What was more curious was the reason behind the meeting.

Lance had been away on a mission with Trip and May for a week and they didn’t have much time to spend together since he returned yesterday.

Today, was supposed to be a relaxing day just doing paperwork so she had hoped to give him enough incentive to finish quickly then join her in her room.

However, Lance Hunter was proving to be quite elusive which was unlike him.

Skye bit her lip as she decided to wander around the base until she found her missing….she wasn’t sure what he was exactly since they didn’t label the relationship between them.

But how hard could it be to find him?

Apparently, it was much harder than she thought that it would be.

She looked in the lab to see if he was bother—talking to Fitz and Mack, the rec room to see if he was drinking and watching soccer and even went as far to see if he was in the gym while Bobbi and May were sparing.

Eventually, she had to give in and accept that she wouldn’t see him until midnight but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t show her displeasure and withhold his pleasure.

Skye had been drifting off to sleep when the alarm on her phone went off, letting her know that it was midnight and time to go meet Lance.

He better have a good reason for this.

Carefully making her way through the base, she had never realize how quiet it could get even though there was a hum of equipment and a few people working overnight on one project or another.

As she walked down one of the hallways, she was startled when a door opened in her path.

“Skye? What are you doing up this late?”

“Oh Coulson, hi. Um, the thing is……Lance. He’s the reason. Yup, exactly.”

Coulson arched an eyebrow at her reply.

“Oh really? Why do you…..does he….You know what, I don’t want to know. Have a good night, Skye.”

She watched her boss head down the hallway the way that she came from then continued on her way.

Eventually, she managed to exit through one of the doors into the side alley.

As her phone changed from 11:59pm to 12:00am, Skye reached the bridge and looked around for Lance.

Skye leaned against the railing and frowned.

“Where the hell is he?”

“I’m right here, sweetheart.”

She didn’t turn around immediately because she didn’t know what would come out of her mouth or what she would do.

“So….it’s midnight, I’m on the bridge and came alone. Why?”

Lance didn’t say a word as he walked up behind her and wrap his arms around her waist.

“Why wouldn’t you want to be alone with me on a bridge? It’s romantic, I’m romantic.”

Skye turned around in his arms and looked up at him.

“Really, Lance, really? You’re romantic? I thought you didn’t do romance anymore.”

“Mmm….that was all part of my master plan.”

He leaned down and kissed her lightly.

“Oh really? And what part of the master plan was that?”

“I couldn’t give away all my secrets right from the start…..when I didn’t know……it doesn’t matter.”

“It doesn’t matter, huh? Just like how it doesn’t matter how I wanted to have my wicked way with you today but you weren’t around?”

Lance just stared at her and Skye tried to not laugh.

“You what?”

“I wanted to have sex with you but you were too busy to be bothered.”

“I’m not, I’d never be too busy. We could, right now.”

“You know, I don’t think I’m in the mood anymore.”

Skye tried to pretend she was serious as she replied to him.

“I mean, especially after someone dragged me out here in the middle of the night and still hasn’t told me why.”

Moving out from Lance’s hold, she leaned back against the railing and crossed her arms.

He ran a hand through his hair as he gathered his thoughts.

“I, well….um, wanted to talk you actually; without all the nosy and prying friends of ours.”

Skye just looked at him.

“They’re a bunch of gossips, the whole lot of them. My man Mack and Bobbi are the worst.”

She contemplated what he was saying and realized that Trip and Fitz weren’t all that subtle either.

“Fair enough. What was it that you wanted to tell me?”

“I want to do more than just sleep with you. I want to take you out. I want to show you off. I want to give you anything you want. I want to be with you.”

Her eyes widened as she listened to what Lance was saying then she started smiling.

“I want to be with you too; that’s what I’ve wanted for awhile now.”

Neither knew who initiated it but they found themselves kissing on a bridge in the middle of nowhere at midnight.

Months later, when Simmons asked them what was the moment that they started to fall in love with each other, they’d think back to this night and just smile because it was their moment, just for them.  Of course, then Lance would make some sexual comment and Skye would throw a pillow at him while Trip and Bobbi would be receiving money from Fitz and Mack behind the couple’s backs.

“It doesn’t look like the rain is going to let upany time soon. So, we either have to make a run for it or stay stuck here.”

Fitz didn’t like either of those options.

“We should make a run for it.”

“Do we have to?”

Skye held out her hand for him to take and after acouple moments, Fitz took it.

“It’s the only way, Fitz.”

Taking a moment to collect themselves, they lookedat each other then ran out into the rain.

It didn’t take them long to become completelysoaked.

“Skye, do you know the way back?”

She shook her head.

“I thought that you did.”

Fitz’s jaw dropped.

“Then there was no reason for us to get soaked??”

“You can’t tell me you’re not appreciating yourview.”

Skye smirked as she spun in a circle, her t-shirtclinging to her torso.

“I don’t-that’s not-this isn’t the time for that.”

Of course he thought his girlfriend was hot, no oneelse needed to know that.

He tugged on her hand to get her to stop but hermomentum sent her tumbling into him causing them to end up on the ground withSkye on top.

“If you wanted a little action, you should have justsaid something.”

“Skye! Skye, not appropriate!”

She only laughed in response.

“Come on, sweetheart. It wasn’t that bad.”

Skye glared at Lance.

Apparently, hoping for their first officialdate to go well was effort wasted.

“That’s an understatement of the year.”

Lance wrapped an arm around her shoulder.

“Youknow, most people would think that shooting anyone on a date would be reasonenough to call it terrible.”

“No one died and the others learned not tointerrupt our dates; just like they did when we were just sleeping together.”

Rolling her eyes, she leaned into his embrace.

“You know, most people would think thatshooting anyone on a date would be reason enough to call it terrible.”

“But we’re not most people.”

Skye poked him in the side, causing him tosquirm.

“That was cheesy and you know it.”

He grinned that dopey grin of his.

“You love it though.”

Biting her lip, she tried to block out thememories of the date.

“You were almost shot, Lance; for being areckless and noble hero no less.”

Lance moved so he could look her in the face.

“Well, I didn’t because of you.”

The sound of someone at her door brought Skye out of a very pleasant dream involving a happy and united team.

“Ugh…who is it?”

“Skye, it’s me….Lincoln.”

She raised her head from her pillow to look at the time on her phone.

“Do you realize what time it is?”

“Yeah but come on. Get dressed; I want to show you something.”

Skye was tempted to ignore him and go back to sleep when she noticed her phone was levitating.

“Come on, Skye. This will be worth it. I promise.”

Grumbling, she climbed out of bed and stumbled over to the dresser to grab something to pull on though; she was half asleep so she wasn’t sure her outfit matched.

“It better be worth it or-or-or….I’ll come up with something later when I can think.”

Yawning, she slipped on her sneakers then headed to her door.

On the other side, Lincoln stood there, smiling more than should be allowed for that time of day.

It reminded her of Trip.

He held out his hand for her to take.

“Do you trust me?”

Skye thought about the question before realizing she did.

In the short time that she had been at Li Shi, Lincoln proved that he cared about her and that she could trust him even if Raina was still a sore subject between the two of them.

He was of the opinion that she should spend time with the other woman but she refused on the grounds it wouldn’t be good for Raina’s survival.

Skye took his hand.

“Yeah I do. So what’s this thing that you want to show me?”

Lincoln shook his head.

“It’s a surprise, a good one.”

“The last time I was given a surprise, my team became afraid of me and we met. So, I’m not big on the whole surprise business.”

“But you trust me. So trust me to not do anything that would harm or upset you.”

Meeting his gaze, Skye nodded her head.

Lincoln smiled then started walking but not so fast that she’d trip as her coordination wasn’t the best when she wasn’t fully awake.

It was surprising how warm it felt at that hour which made Li Shi seem even more unreal.

They walked in silence for a few minutes, just enjoying the moment.

Skye knew that was one thing she liked about Lincoln….he could just be.

Soon the pair came upon a familiar path and she looked at him.

“I figured now that you’ve been settled in for a few days, that you might like to see the sunrise.”

As cheesy as that sounded, Skye realized she could use a little cheesy.

“You know, that sounds like a great idea.”

They reached the spot when Lincoln had showed off his powers the first time but instead of stopping, they headed down another path until they came up to a gazebo that had a gorgeous view of the mountains.

“Wow….this is stunning.”

“The best place to watch the sunrise and sunset really.”

“This whole is incredible but this location….I don’t know how to describe it.”

Skye walked around the gazebo.

“When I first went through the transition, Jaiying brought me up here. Since then, it’s become an escape from the others when I need to breathe.”

Smiling softly at Lincoln, she appreciated that he shared this with her.

“So….where’s the best place to sit and enjoy the sunrise?”

Lincoln led her close to the gazebo then channeled his power so that she levitated like before until she reached the top of gazebo.

Once Skye was safely seated, he used his ability to join her.

“So, are you ready for the best sunrise you’ve ever seen?”

She looked up at him and quirked her eyebrow.

“I don’t know, I’ve some pretty great ones on the road with my van. Hopefully, the sunset lives up to the hype, otherwise….”

“What’s supposed to mean?”

“Otherwise, you woke me up for nothing and you’ll have to make it up to me.”

“I’m sure you have some ideas on how to do that too.”

“One or two.”

Shaking his head, Lincoln grinned as he turned his attention to the horizon as the calm quiet of the morning settled over them.

He wrapped his arm around Skye’s shoulder so they were both stabilized on the top of the gazebo.

Before she could say anything, Lincoln nudged her shoulder then pointed with his head towards the mountains.

Light outlined the mountains in a way Skye had only seen in paintings.

At the same moment, Lincoln looked over at her and watched her reaction.

The awe and amazement he saw brought a smile to his face.

“How is this place real? I feel like it’s all some wondrous dream.”

Or, as she admitted to herself, it would be if Crazy Cal and Raina weren’t here.

“So, was it worth the early wakeup call?”

Skye looked up at him with a smile.

“Yeah, it was. So….if you have any more surprises like this, feel free to share them.”

He chuckled as she snuggled closer to him.

“Think we could stay here for awhile?”

Kissing the top of her head, he’d like nothing better.

“Yes, we certainly can do that.”

And maybe, he could keep her forever.
