if you can make models look like the ones in the show can you make scenes like in the show?

Theoretically, yes. Anyone who has gone through a 3D course has to make their thesis to graduate, which is in the form of an animated short.

Trying to emulate a style requires observing and reverse-engineering certain elements. For example, I have made a simple colored eye model before, but not a stylized one which I've had to figure out to match what's in the show. I have also only ever colored my models with flat colors, and this has required actual painting to get the textures right

It has been very fun so far, all of these are things which I've never really done before.

Overall we're usually taught the whole 3D pipeline (modeling / texturing / rigging / lighting / rendering) plus pre and post-prod stuff (screenwriting / sound design / compositing). We even had an acting class which was a nightmare for the introverted animators. As supplementaries I learned sculpting and clothes modeling through simulation by myself.

However I say theoretically because while one person can be equipped to know that stuff, there's a reason 3D artists work in teams. Every bit of it takes time, and expertise is required in each field cause the problems you face are often technical limitations and specializing just makes the work more efficient once you have a pipeline going. I'm just one person, so there's a limit to what I can do.

Really, are you that naive to think that a fandom would end when canon doesn't go the way it expects? A show's hype will die until it's nothing but a title and a year in a wiki article, but fandom endures. Fandoms spit in the face of canon that doesn't live up to its promises.

So if you're just waiting around to tell people "lmao suck it told you so" then that's just honestly quite a pathetic way to spend your time. Remember that Fortiche and Rito aren't the only people who can create. I too can draw and animate, and I can literally will content of them into existence as I please, as can other writers and artists of the fandom. :)

I know it's been a few months, but in your Arcane x Mass Effect crossover from Inktober, do you imagine either Caitlyn or Vi as biotic?

Vi is pretty much the Vanguard class, no? And Cait would work as an Infiltrator. Besides having the sniper as a primary weapon, say she learned tech stuff while working with Jayce.

It was implied that the eezo disasters that resulted in biotics for Kaidan and biotic!Shep were intentional, so I don't see Kirammom being anywhere near when it happens.

If you want some conflict, say the Council (with Kirammom) was the one that ordered it and as a result a lot of space!Zaunites got sick with cancer from eezo exposure. And of course there's an increase of biotic Zaunite kids from that for them to study

Do you see now why all the representation we get can just evaporate? America is where everything is. What this dumb country does effects so much. The media you consume, the games you play, the shows you watch; all get switched like a light. On and off. Stop being so convinced that everything is fine. That all your queer ships are now canon because it can just go poof. Gone. All of our representation IS GONE just like that.

Hey anon. Been sitting on this ask for a while thinking of how to reply. I think straight to the point would be best.

First off, I'm sorry to hear about recent events happening over there. I don't know the ins and outs of US politics to discuss specifics, but I get the gist.

This, however-

In my country, both abortion and divorce are illegal. There are marriages that have been forced upon couples with accidental pregnancies so that either family would not have to deal with the shame of a child born out of wedlock. Representation is something we have had to sacrifice as a compromise for other more pressing issues. Generally queer people are tolerated for as long as they conform to what traditional society's ideas and stereotypes of 'queer' are.

I'm not saying this to one up you, but maybe to put some things into perspective. I know very well that things are not fine. Can you imagine being in my place? The things I do online are currently the only ways I can express myself without having to get into a fight or being judged. I have to wait til after my parents retire for the night before I can start drawing Shiara or CaitVi art.

Would you deny me the little pleasures of getting excited over my ships? Should I just be constantly preemptively pessimistic over the things I enjoy until politics in a country halfway across the world gets sorted?

Politics is a pendulum. It's not the end of the world. And I know that it's impossible at times to feel like you've made a difference, but like you said - when the US sneezes, the world catches a cold. That means your voice and your vote hold more weight than others.

So keep fighting, yeah? For yourselves and for us too.
