Reunion
In the deathly silence of the empty Nemesis, sound traveled far. If Barricade were to leave the sparklings alone where they were (which he wouldn't, because he valued his life, thank you) and cross to the opposite side of the vessel, he still would have been able to hear their chattering and chirping.
So, as it was, he heard the approaching ship very early on, sitting up from where he'd been hunched over, watching the sparklings chase and wrestle each other.
They were back.
Already the small, tenuous link he had with Frenzy was humming with excitement. No doubt the tiny mech was doing his best to give Blackout a headache, bouncing off the walls with glee.
Barricade growled to himself, scraping his talons impatiently across the floor. He wanted to go outside and see the ship himself, but he couldn't leave the little glitches on their own, and herding them was worse than herding Earth cats, as the human expression went. He needed to wait some more.
