as much as I love pandergast being this sort of mysterious side character I NEED to know more about him like what did he do before superchargers... what was his childhood like
Sigh... so I did make a video ranting about Pandergast and his potential in the series... BUTTT I feel like I forgot a lot, was under pressure and rushed the video a lot. So I'm gonna rant about him a little bit. (also I despise my childlike voice lmao) I do love him being this neutral-ish character, I feel like there was potential for him to be a villain?? There's nothing inherently villainish about his actions in Superchargers, (except from the fact he's a fraud). I think at some point he should've done more. I love his role in Superchargers and wouldn't change it, but if there were more games (or hell, even the show) after Superchargers, I'd definitely do more with him. His design is also, like... amazing?? 😭 it's a design perfect for a villain. AND his voice. In Superchargers: Racing we really got to see more of his personality, and towards the end when Flynn accuses the snow globe of being a fake, Pandergast leaves in panic. He's a fraud lol He does anything for money, and I personally love that in a character. It adds a lot to the story, and overall personality. Yes, I love him being a neutral character! Him being a full-on villain doesn't really fit him from what we've seen of him... but I think we should've seen more of him and his actions and how they could affect others. He's such an interesting character and honestly, kind of unique in Skylanders. Sharpfin obviously didn't have a good experience with Pandergast, and Sharpfin calls Pandergast one of his "less upstanding associates". I would love to know more about them, and what happened. I assume it was wrong on both parts, knowing how both of them can be. Yes, I know this is a children's game and they barely delved into any of the backstories or relationships of characters, (mostly npcs) but I love to rant about what I think about them, and their potential. They didn't really focus on making any other characters into big roles. But if Pandergast is practically the mascot of the racing, I feel like they could've done more with him. I personally think he doesn't have the worst villain intent (like I said, he's a fraud, which is bad, but not like the usual villain in Skylanders). But to see more of his actions, and how he does things for money would be nice! Oh and the fact he set Glumshanks up for prize just shows he's willing to do anything for money lol. "Pandergast is a highly egotistical, double-dealing showman, willing to jump at any opportunity to make a quick buck." Adding him in the show would've been out of place, but at the same time fit considering there was an episode where the Skylanders did have a race. Was it with Supercharger vehicles? No! But Pandergast still hosts many other racing events. I'm glad he wasn't in... for many reasons, but I'm just saying there was some potential there, even if it would've been random. Maybe I'm just saying all of this because Pandergast is one of my favorite characters and I'd love to see more content of him, especially since he is the mascot of the racing. What are your thoughts on him? Would love to know.
Something that I've realized that should be talked about more is that Skylanders actually has really good mental health representation... especially OCD and germaphobia
