Meet Skylar Avery, working as a private investigator here in Sin City. This big spender currently resides in Summerlin. Most people know Sky as a loyal, understanding, and intelligent person; however, she can also be brash, self-destructive, and impulsive. 

Her Story:

Skylar Avery was born to two people that really should have had to pass some sort of evaluation before being allowed to procreate. Her childhood was spent in neglect; her mere existence seemed to ignite her father’s short fuse and her battered mother never cared enough to step in. She would be forced to fend for herself when faced with the accusation that she was eating more than she was earning and she was unfortunately familiar with physical and verbal abuse from both parents. When Sky was fourteen, her parents died in a car accident. Rosita Barnes quickly pulled her out of the foster system and into her household. Rosita didn’t make for much of a mother figure, but Elayne Barnes made for an excellent sister. After their bond solidified, Sky finally knew what it was like to have a family. As she got older, it became obvious what she wanted to do with her life. Exposing people who would willfully harm others became her passion. As soon as she could, she took the necessary steps to become a private investigator. 

Currently, she finds herself struggling to keep her head above water most days. To cope with past trauma, Sky turned to drinking which quickly became an unshakable habit. It’s rare that she stays sober for more than twenty-four hours at a time.
