how are you supposed to  act, in the aftermath? you stand, one short of complete and the emptiness seems to expand; wide and worrisome. it leads you to commit dirty deeds, wiping your hands over again on ripped jeans, to keep clean. you left the realm of clean back with her, curled on a porch that never welcomed, only denied. there's no going back, but how do you go forward? there's only going. going. going. you leave the rest behind, because  how else would you act in the aftermath.

pros:

it’s just so real and heartfelt and just ugh like love it’s real love and they don’t even recognize it sometimes and i dunno they have opposite natures that complement each other

um the most adorable and cute and just like so much history and a lifetime of caring and they really know each other and can say nearly everything

i just feel like they understand what each other needs and wants and can really help each other grow and move past the bullshit if only they had the faith and patience.

cons:

their individual insecurities will be a difficult thing to get around and that’s not even talking about their combined insecurities

they’ve done it once and it failed so like that’s a hard thing to get over and move past—it’s scary as fuck

they’re both runners and have very big hearts

Greedy Greedy Trojan Horse; a street rat pack poem

they stand five strong: they did at the beginning and  they do so again now, except strong isn't something they clutch between interlocked hands anymore

they seek it out, like sharks do blood like lions and their prey but it remains elusive, it slips like water between their fingers because death brings on a kind of weakness that most do not have to deal with after it's over but she's brought back and they all shout out claims of miracles and saving graces but the devil does not give gifts without strings attached and god doesn't doll out mercy like  vigilantes do justice so they lie, to each other to themselves anything to allow them to sleep at night because the one thought that plagues is one of "when will the other shoe drop?" they are not familiar with happily ever afters not these survivors who are kissed with battle wounds instead of freckles who clutch weapons and hold fire instead of sweaty palms and awkward first touches

but one does not look a gift horse in its mouth -- greedy greedy trojan horse placing an innocent girl in the home of her murderers  blind to the way they slayed her so many times before without mercy, without regret it seems these kids will have to fight if they want to stand five strong if they want to entwine fingers once more and have them fit -- for they haven't puzzle pieced themselves together for years now, and they're afraid they never will

Gossip Gator, is there anything interesting that you've seen recently?

Well, let's see. Young little Samara Riley has returned... from where? We don't know. It seems like no time has passed though so we like to think she made a deal with the devil, Summer Lyons maybe, to be resurrected. But honestly, we're still sniffing around that situation to find out what really happened. We do know that her return and Skyler's returned has really shaken up the Pack as a whole, especially one Lou Ainsworth who honestly has no control over her life or her emotions right now.. it's pathetic. Though what we're interested in is what will happen when he finds out what happened at the Masquerade Ball with Roo. This is yet another one of those "will they, won't they" situations. And at this moment, all we need is the drama of it all to keep interested.

Plus, you have Isla and Isadora Greene on a warpath of vengeance for their mother's death and any mermaid who stands in their path will get taken down... we just hope that there will be more than one.
